The first appearance of the Blood Snake species was in [[Roamin's Band of Thieves]] campaign. They appeared in the Blood Forest that connected to the Monkey Fish King's cave right outside the Spellblade Elves village. They burrowed themselves into the walls of the forest, awaiting unfamiliar travellers, which happen to be Yumi's Thieves Guild.
The first appearance of the Blood Snake species was in [[Band of Thieves]]. They appeared in the forest that connected to the Monkey Fish King's cave right outside the [[Elf#Spellblade|Spellblade Elves]] village. They hid themselves in the walls of the forest, awaiting unsuspecting passerby's.
 


When they entered the forest, they were unfortunately met with the serpents in full force. After a show of badassery from [[Philhipé]], they entered further into the forest, attacking and being attacked by more and more Blood Snakes. Then the Cobra King appeared, attacking from afar. The battle continued on, with each Thief becoming more and more tired, with even [[Squinks]] running from the battle. It was not until [[Bumbley|Kobold Number 4]] gave a swift hit to its head, killing it.

The Cobra King is a much larger variant of the smaller Blood Snakes. However, with all his impressive abilities, he is still as weak as his smaller counterparts and is still vulnerable to blows to the head. He presumably rests and lives in the Blood Forest prior to [[Band of Thieves]].

When entering the forest, after sneaking around the camp site, the unfortunately encounter Blood Snakes coming from the walls of the forest. Shortly thereafter, the Cobra King (see below) awoke to their presence, firing off a Blood Bolt in their direction, having only hit [[Squinks]] due to their accidental formation of a line, preventing another party member being struck by the second half of the Blood Bolt. Later in the fight, [[Gracias]] attempts to fire his bow at the Cobra King, missing and hitting [[Philhipé]] in the leg. Philhipé having been injured and being attacked by a snake ended its life and used it as a tourniquet to bandage the wound in his leg. Afterwards, [[Bumbley|Kobold Number 4]] had approached the Cobra King and stopped his Tail Swipe by catching it's tail. Squinks, having been put to a critical amount of stamina, [{{SERVER}}/cards/cards.html#class-00010-sorcerer-blink blinked] past the Cobra King, fleeing the encounter. The party begins feeling fatigued and losing stamina over time, but shortly after, the party begins clearing the waves of Blood Snakes coming from the forest walls and are able to focus fire the King Cobra, with Kobold Number 4 dealing the killing blow to end the encounter.

The other male cobras then fight to be the Queen's mate, but the Queen will change her mate each new breeding season. The Queen has telepathic control over her horde of snakes.

Blood Snake Queens are massive female Blood Snakes who are extremely territorial and whose mind is linked to her horde of Blood Snakes. Females are only born when a Blood Cobra consumes a Female [[Elf]] and goes through a metamorphosis which allows it to communicate with the other races. The Queen gives birth to a dozen Blood Snakes daily during it's mating season. Male Blood Cobras will often fight at the start of the season for the honor of being the Blood Snakes Queen's consort. At the end of her mating season however, she will kill her consort to keep the biggest males in check and from growing out of control.

Blood Snakes are vicious, but fairly weak, serpents that first appeared in Band of Thieves.

History

The first appearance of the Blood Snake species was in Band of Thieves. They appeared in the forest that connected to the Monkey Fish King's cave right outside the Spellblade Elves village. They hid themselves in the walls of the forest, awaiting unsuspecting passerby's.


Characteristics

The Cobra King is a much larger variant of the smaller Blood Snakes. However, with all his impressive abilities, he is still as weak as his smaller counterparts and is still vulnerable to blows to the head. He presumably rests and lives in the Blood Forest prior to Band of Thieves.

Band of Thieves

When entering the forest, after sneaking around the camp site, the unfortunately encounter Blood Snakes coming from the walls of the forest. Shortly thereafter, the Cobra King (see below) awoke to their presence, firing off a Blood Bolt in their direction, having only hit Squinks due to their accidental formation of a line, preventing another party member being struck by the second half of the Blood Bolt. Later in the fight, Gracias attempts to fire his bow at the Cobra King, missing and hitting Philhipé in the leg. Philhipé having been injured and being attacked by a snake ended its life and used it as a tourniquet to bandage the wound in his leg. Afterwards, Kobold Number 4 had approached the Cobra King and stopped his Tail Swipe by catching it's tail. Squinks, having been put to a critical amount of stamina, blinked past the Cobra King, fleeing the encounter. The party begins feeling fatigued and losing stamina over time, but shortly after, the party begins clearing the waves of Blood Snakes coming from the forest walls and are able to focus fire the King Cobra, with Kobold Number 4 dealing the killing blow to end the encounter.
