Jormr is an Ageless Black Boar Lumberjack played by Justin in Woodcarvers. He was the husband of Sheila, and the stepfather to her son, and is very gifted in the use of magic, being a Seeker of Knowledge. Having been recruited by the Grand Paladin Order, Jormr fell to a group of Ageless civilians as was turned into an Ageless himself, joining Bopen's growing crew.

Characteristics

Appearance

Jormr is a very tall male Black Boar with an overweight physique. He has dark grey skin with spots of dull pink, a messy, black beard, and has two large lower tusks that jut out of his mouth.

He wears a white and grey fur of a dead wolf, who he named Fifi, on his head, with an eyepatch over the wolf's left eye. This hat also used to have a bow on it, but Jormr removed it upon the request of his wife, who said it "looked stupid." He also wears a red, plaid sash hanging off his left shoulder, across his chest. His Pristine Woodcutter's Axe is a large axe head attached to a wooden handle with brown and green rope, and is carried on his back.

Personality

Jormr is a overly trusting, gullible Porc. He is friendly towards others and tries to act like a fatherly figure. He is always trying to improve his lumberjacking skills, and he finds using fireball the most effective way of chopping down trees.

Sheila

Sheila, knowing how gullible Jormr is, has been using him to take care of her kid, acting like she cares about him.

Jormr's Stepson

Jormr is easily manipulated by his stepson. He will give his stepson money whenever he asks and he will believe whatever his stepson says.

Snake Friend

Snake Friend is a Blood Snake that Jormr owned in Woodcarvers. Jormr's Blood Cobra is a large, dark red cobra, with dark brown bands along its body, and a pale red underside. It also has black eyes, with white, slit-like pupils. Jormr's Blood Cobra was an inhabitant of the forest that Jormr burned down in his incident involving Pyroblast. Following the destruction of its habitat, the Blood Cobra was befriended by Jormr, and followed him to Waldon, where they settled down. Jormr's Blood Cobra was killed and turned into an Ageless being when the Ageless Sheila breathed on him. Jormr then used Lay on Hands in order to bring his trusted friend to a peaceful end. Woodcarvers Snake Friend first appeared in Woodcarvers Companion Inventory List of cards that apply to the companion

History

Background

When Jormr first came into the world, he knew that he wanted to be a Lumberjack. On his journeys, he met a Gnome Wizard, and saw him using Fireball. Jormr, having a thirst for knowledge, wanted to learn how to cast Fireballs, so that he could become a better lumberjack. The gnome taught him many different magics, among them, the most powerful fireball possible, Pyroblast.

However, there was an incident where Jormr used a Pyroblast, but ended up causing a huge forest fire, forcing him to flee from his home. In the incident, he met his pet Blood Cobra, and killed a wolf, which Jormr turned into a hat, and named Fifi. Following this incident, Jormr became afraid to ever use a Pyroblast again, and he fled to Waldon, where he met Sheila and joined The Woodcarvers.

The Grand Paladin Order

Jormr assisted in fighting off the ageless attackers during the siege of Kaddoral

The Purge

Jormr was one of the paladins sent to Reldawin to dispose of the peaceful ageless living there. After fighting the citizens of Reldawin by the docks and killing Lyssa Bast almost immediately, after losing the battle and discovering Percy Bast was not ageless, Jormr called a retreat. Jormr was one of Lance Willakers's gang of paladins who try to fight the citizens at their shipwreck. When bopen arrives, Jormr choosing survival over the paladin order, decides to join Bopen's ageless crew

Fate

Jormr was last seen joining Bopen's crew after being turned Ageless.

Trivia

• Justin revealed in his 'Tuesday Talk Stuff' stream that Jormr's name was based off of Ormr, an Old Norse word for snake or serpent, in reference to his Blood Cobra Companion.
  • He also revealed that underneath the wolf hat, Jormr has very long, luscious locks, which were never seen in the campaign.
• Jormr's relationship with Sheila was the first canon relationship that consisted of two different races.
