Senator Stuart Barringster is an Ageless Elf Spellslinger played by Justin in The Senate of Deadlantis campaign. Stuart is a member of the Barringster Elven family and one of the few survivors of the initial fallout of the Birth of Magic. Stuart is a Senator of the Ageless City of Deadlantis, and a member of the Reaper political party. He allied with Bopen to bring war to the living.

Characteristics

Appearance

Stuart Barringster is an Elf with a large, fluffy beard that extends to his upper chest, and very curly hair. Stuart was first seen wearing a single monocle, a sleeveless shirt, and a pearl necklace from before the Birth of Magic. After being forced into becoming an Ageless and joining Deadlantis, Stuart seemed to have lost his eyesight, becoming blind, and hangs his monocle to the side of his face. He also has added small skeletons to his pearl necklace.

After becoming Ageless, Stuart's true form is that of a living Skeleton. He has this form slightly revealed by one of his small hands being in its skeletal form.

Stuart also has very small hands.

Personality

Prior to the Birth of Magic, Stuart Barringster was jovial, well-read elf with a bit of a know-it-all attitude. A family man, Stuart deeply loves his wife and children despite their very obvious, over-the-top disdain for him and his passive nature. He greatly yearns for the respect of his two children, and is willing to take advice from others on how to deal with them better. Overall he acts blissfully unaware of the depths of his family's hatred of him.

After Ladrian Cobbler uses Bolster Spirits on Stuart, Stuart becomes somewhat more forceful and sharp-tongued. Immediately after the spell is cast, he begins commanding more respect out of his children. Without his inhibitions, he has no qualms about verbally tearing down Cobbler and his children right in front of Ladrian to make this point. Overall, he is much less polite in this state.

Millennia later, after losing his family, being turned ageless, and sustaining various other physical trauma stemming from the Birth of Magic, Stuart remains ever-jovial, but has become single-mindedly devoted to Bopen the Skeleton King and uses his seat of power as a member of the Deadlantis Senate to promote the ideals of his Ageless god and his fellow members of the Reaper political party. He greatly wishes to promote the prospect of the Ageless waging war on the living, much to the disdain of his fellow senators.

History

Background

Stuart Barringster is a member of the Barringster Family from before the Birth of Magic, and loving father and husband to his unloving family. He was known for collecting any and all types of books to further prove that he was incredibly smart to his peers. He, along with his family, where invited to the Coming of Age Ascension Ceremony for Louis Tarcial'Embeart, which was the same day as the Birth of Magic.

Fate

Senator Stuart quickly aligned with his fellow Reaper member, Bopen, in bringing war to the living.

Trivia

• Stuart Barringster is named after an inside joke from HCJustin's livestreams. The name is derived from the name of Justin's 7 Days to Die character, who was lovingly named "Meaty Stu" after the 'meaty stew' food item, specifically after viewers jokingly suggested it'd make a good stripper name. Stuart shares Meaty Stu's baby hands and bizarre haircut.
  • This continues Justin's naming trend of naming his character after inside jokes from his stream.
• Stuart's surname is pronounced more along the lines of "Breningsten", but is still a proper Barringster. It is implied (and suggested at a meta level) that this is merely a regional pronunciation, or some corruption of the name stemming from a branch family.
• In The Senate of Deadlantis, Stuart has at least 976 "Shahait Points" (not counting the penalty points for enacting the pebble boy motion without approval).
