Gracias decides to speak to Lunk first, and he uses Soothe Spirits when Lunk is resistant to being hugged, telling him to "Die on my behalf" because that's what friends do. After the two share their motivation for entering the lair, with Gracias saying he wants to befriend the dragon, the group starts forward.
As a Sorcerer, Gracias could use Blink as well as Rolling Fog. Gracias mainly used Rolling Fog for both it's destructive and cloaking purposes, while Blink was rarely used, and saved for life-threatening situations.

Gracias also utilized a two distinct ranged weapons. Including a rather powerful Dragonskin bow and a Blunderbuss.
During the first encounter, Gracias attempts to hug the Whelpling, but it merely causes him to be flung to one of the rocks on the nearby lava lake. He deals a decent amount of damage during the battle and eventually jumps back to finish off the Whelpling, though Duke Daring nearly gets Gracias killed in attempt to steal the finishing blow.

However, Gracias preferred the stealthy or diplomatic routes. Opting to hug Philhipé rather than fighting him, which converted him into one of the most useful allies in the game.
After the fight ends, Gracias confronts Lunk about his lack of assistance, to which Lunk replies that Gracias didn't do anything when Denzik was mind controlled. Lunk leaves him shortly afterwards, and Gracias decides to search for a new best friend.

Gnome Physiology:
During the battle on the lava lake, Gracias attempts to hug the giant Flame Spooky, but ends up setting himself on fire and coming dangerously close to falling in the lava. He spends the rest of the encounter using his gun instead.

*Subterranean Adaptation: Gnomes commonly live underground, allowing them to survive underground as easily as dwarves do.
*Technology Affinity: Most, if not all, Gnomes have a fondness for technology and inventing.
*Enhanced Inventing: The Okagnoma Gnome subspecies has an affinity for “Tinkering” with the various treasures they obtain. Whether the end result is beneficial to them is often up to debate.

Magical Abilities: Sorcerers have access to a few magical abilities due their training.
After the group succeeds once again, Gracias approaches Duke Daring and uses Soothe Spirits to befriend and hug him, hoping for additional protection in the next encounter. Duke Daring promises he'll get Gracias out of the lair alive.
*Fog Generation: Known as the spell “Rolling Fog,” Sorcerers can generate a thick, expanding fog at a location of his choosing. This fog will continue to expand and hinder others to be unable to effectively see or move through the fog. The fog will naturally attempt to protect the caster. It should be noted that the fog is flammable.
**Enhanced Vision: The user has the ability to be the only one to see through his fog as easily as he could see prior.
*Basic Level Teleportation: Known as the spell “Blink,” Sorcerers can teleport short distances. As it is a basic level spell, the user is not well adjustment to the sudden movement of molecules, cause slight dizziness upon the use of the spell.

In the final battle, as the group is trying to escape, Gracias combines his Rolling Fog with Michael Langstrom's slime wall to keep one of the Whelplings from reaching Nisovin. Gracias is presumed to have escaped the party's encounter with Gwyneth Sunsword by falling down a well. The action he took to do so knocked him unconscious, and a subsequent explosion collapsed the well, so his fate is potentially uncertain, but Rob said he escaped alive when wrapping up the campaign.
Gracias, mind controlled by a Dragon Whelpling and unable to get out of the way of its Creation Breath, was almost killed from it. Background

Not much is known about Gracias' past, both before his joining of Yumi's band of thieves and during up until they contracted a job with Nisovin.

Gracias successfully escaped the Sunswords by falling down a well.

Gracias returns in the dragon lair located in Zelfatar. For the most part, he maintains his friendly attitude, but his personality has been altered some time between the separation of the thieves and Gracias' entry into the Guild of Explorers.

After the two share their motivation for entering the lair, with Gracias saying he wants to befriend the dragon, the group starts forward.

After the fight ends, Gracias confronts Lunk about his lack of assistance, to which Lunk replies that Gracias didn't do anything when Denzik was mind controlled. Lunk leaves him shortly afterwards, and Gracias decides to search for a new best friend.

During the battle on the lava lake, Gracias attempts to hug the giant Flame Spooky, but ends up setting himself on fire and coming dangerously close to falling in the lava. He spends the rest of the encounter using his gun instead.

After the group succeeds once again, Gracias approaches Duke Daring and uses Soothe Spirits to befriend and hug him, hoping for additional protection in the next encounter. Duke Daring promises he'll get Gracias out of the lair alive.

In the final battle, as the group is trying to escape, Gracias combines his Rolling Fog with Michael Langstrom's slime wall to keep one of the Whelplings from reaching Nisovin. He then sneaks around and attempts to hug the whelpling's tail from behind, but it turns out to be a fatal mistake as it results in him getting thrown in front of a dangerous breath attack.

Fate

Gracias, mind controlled by a Dragon Whelpling and unable to get out of the way of its Creation Breath, was almost killed from it. Usu stole Gracias's Blunderbuss and threw him against a wall, believing Gracias was Dead. As Gracias bled to death, Lunk accidentally stepped on his body, crushing it immediately.
