Yumi (/jumi/) is a female Gnome portrayed by Roamin in the Roamin's Band of Thieves campaign. As the name of the campaign suggests, Yumi is the ruthless leader of her party, a band of thieves.

Characteristics

Appearance

Yumi is a Gnome of average size, fair skin, black eyes and medium length blonde hair. Her main clothing consists of a crimson tunic with golden lining, light red leggings, a brown belt with two pouches and a golden buckle, along with brown boots and gloves. She wears a maroon cloak with a golden button and a bright red helmet for decoration.

Personality

Arrogant, she barks orders at all of her subordinates, however she is not above digging through the remains of her enemies in search for treasure. Calculating and conniving, Yumi is a very strong leader, however the most important thing to her is her own life. When faced with defeat or death, she is not above running away or surrendering to the enemy. Yumi and Squinks have known each other for a great deal of time and seem to have a mutual understanding that neither is willing to give up their lives for anyone.

History

Yumi started thieving at an unknown time in her life and eventually met with Squinks who became a common ally through constant betrayal. At some point Gracias joined her ranks and were approached by Nisovin to retrieved a special key from Gwyneth Sunsword's person. Yumi contracted there help of a Dwarf Warrior and set out to the woods near the Sunsword camp.

Roamin's Band of Thieves

They set out on their mission to steal the key by setting up camp a small ways away from a forest that boarders the Sunsword Village. There, Yumi lead her thieves into an altercation with a band of Kobolds after some miscommunication over their gems. After knocking out, and killing two, the Kobolds, they met with a a Kobold named Pete, who offered to join their ranks. Yumi decided that Pete would be known as Philhipé and would be in charge of Dwarf Number 3 who was now known as Kobold Number 4. The thieving band then awaken a large gem that the Kobolds guarded known as the Gemlord, which the group was forced to defeat. After recovering a bit, the group set out over a bridge further into Sunsword territory, but where stopped by Nessie, a gnome who hated his kind and guarded the bridge. In exchange for some sexual favors, he allowed Yumi to pass unharmed. Past the bridge, Yumi and her thieves snuck into a sentry camp of Sunsword Elves. Keeping to their sneaking nature, the group manage to avoid any confrontation or alerting anyone and get into the forest that bordered the Sunsword Village. However the forest they sought was much more dangerous than they thought, as it held several Blood Snakes that stopped them from progressing until their Cobra King appeared. Fighting through the blood bolts and fangs, the thieves finally made it to the outskirts of the Sunsword Village and the Monkey Fish Grotto. After discussing a plan of action, Yumi decided to send Squinks out in disguise to recon the area. However they found that a patrol of elves, lead by their leader Gwyneth Sunsword, was en-route. They decided to seek shelter further in the grotto only to be met with the Monkey Fish King. After explaining their plight, the King finally agreed to help them out by hiding them from the Sunswords. Yumi and her thieves are then accompanied by the King's son Albert in sneaking into the Sunsword Village to steal the key from Gwyneth, only to find that Squinks was captured. After learning of his attempted betrayal, Yumi left him and went to complete the job. Unfortunately, Gwyneth was prepared for them and engaged in a battle with her Sun Hound Fenrus.

The battle was in favor of the Sunswords, prompting the thieves to attempt to flee. With Gracias and K4 escaping down the well, Philhipé being cornered, and Squinks was in jail, Yumi had no choice but to preserve her own life and give up. However, Philhipé had one last trick and ignited the fog created by Gracias, inadvertently blowing up part of the jail housing Squinks, buying them both time to escape.

Fate

It is unknown what happened to Yumi following her escape from the Sunswords. Last was seen of her, she was escaping into the forest that compassed the elves with Squinks.

Triva

• Her stamia would be a total of 59 as confirmed during The Unseen Rogues supporter event.
• Yumi was the first canon player character seen during Season One.
• A translation of "Yumi" can be interpreted as "archery bow" which is an interesting coincidence as Yumi uses her bow often in combat.
• Yumi is the character represented on the Sorcerer Class card.
• Yumi is the first and only female character portrayed by Roamin thus far.
