McCoy is a Bone Tusk Porc Swashbuckler who is crew member on the Bocoe during The Jewel of the Dingo Isles campaign.

Characteristics

Race and Class

A seasoned Swashbuckler who is a Porc of the high seas.

Personality

McCoy is loyal and honest, has great respect for Captain Merci, and always follows his orders. Despite this, he has somewhat of a hard time paying attention to steering the ship. Very group-orientated, he focuses less on himself and more on the crew. He is very educated on sea matters, the goings on of the ship, and is the trusty advisor of Captain Merci. He is somewhat intelligent, as he is an educated porc he is able to read and appreciate books.

History

McCoy has served under the sails of the Bocoe for at least two captains, most recently serving under Captain Merci. Capt. Merci and McCoy had sailed for many years, leading for mutual respect. This allowed McCoy to serve unquestionably under the power of Merci, but also for Merci to allow McCoy to serve as First Mate. During the voyage, he loses his right arm by the Behemoth ripping it off with his tentacle. However, shortly after suffered from the curse of the sea, seen as a blessing from the Bone Cult, that gives him a tentacle like arm that has elastic properties and can never miss. All McCoy remembers of the incident however is a bright light, and a flash back of him as a boy and his grandfather which results in him getting beat in the arm with a shovel as punishment for taking a drink from a stranger. He starts to break off from Captain Merci's complete control as they enter Dingo Isle, and starts to defy him when they are faced with the aspect of watching puppies burn while being in trapped in a grill and the crew starts to fall apart somewhat.

Charge

Due to the benefits from his tusks, he is well-versed in charging at things.

Grandpa Smokescreen

A smokescreen consisting of his grandpa's ashes. However, due to him being a porc and therefore lacking a real grandpa, its actually the ashes of a book about a boy and his grandfather Ethan which is very saddening for him. He also has ashes of many other books about grand relations, such as one about two grandmothers.

Parry

With a flourish of his weapon he can block an attack and come back with his own. However, he is not to be trifled with, as he is arguably the best at parrying on the Bocoe and can take on multiple enemies at once.

Lunge

A standard part of any pirate's forte, allowing you to move gracefully if done well. However, this is not the case with McCoy , as the lunge is not his strong point.

Fate

After escaping the grill of death, the group enters a room which contains the gem. After using his superb navigational skills, McCoy realizes that only one with a pure heart can retrieve the gem. Therefore, he is sent by Captain Merci to retrieve it. After he grabs it, he along with the puppy in his bag leave to return it to Nisovin.
