The Cult Of Bones is an ancient Cult run by the Ageless. Their goal is to "bring balance to the World", and "free people from their curse and their pain". They have the ability to turn others into Ancient Skeletal Beings, like themselves. They appear to worship The Ageless One, as well as Colin the Behemoth. Much of the Cult of Bones is still a mystery.

History

Many Years ago, Virgo Sunsword did battle with the Cult of Bones and their deity, The Ageless One. Although the Cultists, being Ageless, were immune to most types of damage, Virgo found a way to defeat and kill off many of them. He also found a way to defeat the Ageless One, and force him into a prolonged slumber. Where the Ageless One slept, Virgo ordered the construction of Mountains on top of it. These mountains became the Silvermine Mountains. Since then, the few remaining Cultists have gone underground, hiding in the shadows and among the general populace, converting anyone they can. They await the day they can re-awaken the Ageless One, and try to bring a "Balance" to the world; to undo what the Elves have "caused".

Trivia

  • So far, all members of the Cult of Bones have been Ageless.
  • Colin the Behemoth's role in the Cult, and his relationship with the Cult, is unknown.
  • Rob has said that the first campaign of Season 2 will be a Campaign focused on the Cult of Bones and their main Race, the Ageless. Whether this campaign is set before their fall, or after The Ageless One is re-awakened, is still undetermined.
    • However, due to the restructuring of the game for Season 2, the Ageless are no longer a race, but an attribute. The first campaign of Season 2, Wood Carvers did not focus on the Ageless, but it did have them.
