Groundbolds are visually similar to kobolds except that they walk on all fours. Groundbolds roll two dice like kobolds. Groundbolds only take one damage when they are hit regardless of what they are hit by. This makes them very annoying to kill if you only have moves that hit once. They first appeared as giant Groundbolds in [[The Many Gobos of Pat]]. The giant Groundbolds are able to be ridden on. These Groundbolds on top of their usual abilities were able to trample over enemies dealing damage in their move.

It is mentioned in [[The Death of Virgo]] Sidequest that a [[Kobold]]'s racial is determined by there geographical location. Explaining Snow-bolds and Sand-bolds. This however does not include the introduction of Groundbolds. And as such it is unclear weather it's appearance is an adaptation of a given location, or simply a subrace.
