The Timeline of URealms Live is constantly changing as new campaigns create connections between stories. The following is the confirmed canon timeline of the series so far.
One could completely debunk the entirely timeline with three simple facts:
- Any character could be a Believer or Ageless who was not already known to be so. (For example, if Morgana Marie in Tower of Ultimate Wizardry was be a Believer or Ageless, it would not necessarily be before Zarlin Catacombs.)
- Any character may not be who we think they are. Any character could be someone else in a disguise, or be mistaken for another unrelated character of the same name. (For example, if the Daves from Band of Thieves, Porc Hunters, and Murder Bros are different.)
- Any character could have had their mind toyed with to alter their memories and character arc. (For example, if Phineas's was toyed with so that he forgot being a master Cabalist in Sunswords and Porc Hunters.)
As such, for the purpose of the timeline actually being a worthwhile endeavour it is assumed that by default every character is who we think they are and has not had their mind toyed with in any way. These assumptions work on the basis of innocent until proven guilty.
Canon Confirmed Timeline With Explanations
Every timeline is predated by Acts 2 and 3 of The Senate of Deadlantis, as they respectively take place immediately before and immediately after the Birth of Magic, and every other campaign takes place after the Birth of Magic.
Sunswords to Grand Paladin Order (1)
Timeline:
Explanation:
- In The Sunswords, Phineas has yet to join Theta Squad or become a master Cabalist. He is still in training and knows no Cabalist skills. In Porc Hunters, Phineas has become all of this and joins Theta Squad. This confirms that Sunswords predates Porc Hunters. The time between the two campaigns is likely very short, as Phineas is a prepubescent child in both and in Sunswords he has already been referred to as a young adult so he is likely around 10 to 12 in human years.
- In The New Crew, Phineas joins the crew. This time, he has his Cabalist powers and has begun to go insane from repeatedly using Blanket of Darkness on himself. Because of this, we know that The New Crew must take place after Porc Hunters.
- In The Skeleton King, an illusory messenger of Maelstrom says he's about to join a New Crew, and some time after, Bopen's crew runs into Virgo Sunsword's ship with Merci's crew in the hull of the ship and Phineas Barringster onboard, placing The Skeleton King as happening around the same time as The New Crew, beginning before it and ending after it.
- Virgo dies in The Skeleton King and the premise of The Grand Paladin Order is that Virgo is dead and a new grand paladin must take over.
Sunswords to Grand Paladin Order (2)
Timeline:
Explanation:
- In The Sunswords, Jakelad is still alive. In The Jewel of the Dingo Isles, he is killed by Kinney Boots. This confirms that Sunswords predates The Jewel of the Dingo Isles.
- In The New Crew, Kinney Boots leaves the crew, Jo Krysstal is killed, and most of the remaining crew (including Captain Merci and first mate McCoy) are sent to the Silvermine Mountains. McCoy also starts The New Crew with his tentacle arm. Because of this, we know that The New Crew takes place after The Jewel of the Dingo Isles.
Sunswords to Grand Paladin Order (3)
The time between the two campaigns is likely only a few months or years as Phineas is a prepubescent child in both and in Sunswords he has already been referred to as a young adult so he is likely around 10 to 12 in human years.
- In Murder Bros, Dave is killed while taking Chimera to the Silvermine Mountains, placing the campaign after his appearance in Porc Hunters and before the destruction of the Silvermine Mountains in The Silvermine Mountains.
- In Grand Paladin Order, Dave's death is recognized, placing it after Murder Bros.
Sunswords to Grand Paladin Order (4)
The time between the two campaigns is likely only a few months or years as Phineas is a prepubescent child in both and in Sunswords he has already been referred to as a young adult so he is likely around 10 to 12 in human years.
- In The Silvermine Mountains, Xavius Barringster and Elmar die. The Silvermine Mountains collapse, to which prisoners were being taken in both The Sunswords and Porc Hunters. Unter and Gunter have already been saved by Gwyneth's squadron. Kallark already has his funk spirit animal.
- In Woodcarvers, Gwyneth Sunsword and Kallark appear to the Woodcarvers, telling them that they have been following the trail of Golestandt for two days, fighting the mindless Ageless creatures that it has been creating. We therefore know that Woodcarvers takes place after The Silvermine Mountains.
- The survivors of the crew from Woodcarvers are with Gwyneth and Kallark in the Grand Paladin Order.
Sunswords to Den of Devils (1)
Timeline:
Explanation:
- In The Zarlin Catacombs, Sergio Fabioso had a copy of the famous Boyfriend Quest, which he gave to Morgana Marie. Boyfriend Quest was being written in Sunswords by the Elf Dave. Because of this, it is canon that Sunswords comes before The Zarlin Catacombs.
- In Unexpected Discovery, a Kobold Bromas appears, who is starting to accept his change into a Kobold. Bromas also met his fate in this campaign. Bromas was changed into a Kobold in The Zarlin Catacombs. With this in mind, we know that Unexpected Discovery takes place after The Sunswords and The Zarlin Catacombs.
- In The Den of Devils the party comes across the skeleton of Bromas who died in Unexpected Discovery. Thus Den of Devils must take place after Unexpected Discovery.
Sunswords to Den of Devils (2)
The time between the two campaigns is likely only a few months or years as Phineas is a prepubescent child in both and in Sunswords he has already been referred to as a young adult so he is likely around 10 to 12 in human years.

- In Den of Devils, Michael Langstrom appears in the campaign, who is on a vengeful and suicide mission to kill some dragons and whelplings after the death of his son, Taylor Langstrom.

- The Senate of Deadlantis Act 4
Explanation:
- In The Sunswords, Phineas has yet to join Theta Squad or become a master Cabalist. He is still in training and knows no Cabalist skills. In Porc Hunters, Phineas has become all of this and joins Theta Squad. This confirms that Sunswords predates Porc Hunters. - Act 1 of The Senate of Deadlantis takes place after Bopen's pirate crew kill Virgo Sunsword and steal his ship. The members of Virgo's ship are shown to be Virgo's crew, including Bob, as well as the members of Merci's crew taken prisoner in The New Crew. Phineas reboards Virgo's ship after it was shown that he was thrown off in The Skeleton King. Are'ani is already Ageless. One of Krungor's heads has been taken off. Bopen is shown to be wearing Virgo's skull.
- Act 4 of The Senate of Deadlantis takes place after Act 1 because Bopen has learned of Phineas's Darkvision powers and taken him to Deadlantis. However, the period of time for which it takes Bopen to travel to Deadlantis is not specified.

Sunswords to Okagnoma Guild Hall
Timeline:
Explanation:
- In Okagnoma Guild Hall, multiple characters reference Dave's book, Boyfriend Quest. As it was still being written in The Sunswords, Okagnoma Guild Hall must come after that.
- In Okagnoma Guild Hall, a few moments after the group of students teleport into the cave, the mercenary group from The Blood Snake Queen commences their tower manoeuvre, ultimately failing before they retreat. With this information, we know that the third encounter of Okagnoma Guild Hall happens during the final encounter of The Blood Snake Queen.

- In Murder Bros, Dave is killed while taking Chimera to the Silvermine Mountains, placing the campaign after his appearance in Porc Hunters and before the destruction of the Silvermine Mountains in The Silvermine Mountains.
- In Buckeroos, the town of Silverflats had already been rampaged through by the Murder Bros, and the train had already derailed, with the Murder Bros not far from the scene and Sallazar Thornblade referencing multiple events in the Murder Bros campaign, placing it a short amount of time after Murder Bros.

Explanation:
- In The Zarlin Catacombs, Morgana Marie dies, placing it after The Tower of Ultimate Wizardry: Chapter One.

- In Grand Paladin Order, Dave's death is recognized, placing it after Murder Bros.
Fall of Dundinborough to Grand Paladin Order
Timeline:
Explanation:
- The Fall of Dundinborough is set before The Death of Virgo because Cecilia Granger is still alive, but is dead in The Death of Virgo.
- Virgo Sunsword dies in The Skeleton King, placing it after all of his appearances to date. Because this campaign happens at the same time as The New Crew, this also places The New Crew after The Death of Virgo and The Fall of Dundinborough.
- The premise of Grand Paladin Order is that Virgo is dead and a new grand paladin must take over.

Guild of Explorers to Den of Devils
Timeline:
Explanation:
- In the Guild of Explorers Duke Daring is setting off to find the Scrolls of the Sandbold. In Den of Devils it is referenced by himself and by Raynel that he failed this quest and never acquired the scrolls.
Unconnected campaigns
There is no information that links The Unseen Rogues, Kobold Headhunters, Battle of the Bards, or The Cobblers to any other campaign in the timeline other than Acts 2 and 3 of The Senate of Deadlantis.
Points of Interest
The following are things to keep in mind when changing the timeline or adding theories to the section below.
What is Canon?
- All campaigns other than The Many Gobos of Pat
- All Coe's Quest episodes
What is Not Canon?
- Anything said outside a campaign or Coe's Quest episode, by Rob, a player or otherwise
- The Many Gobos of Pat
- Things that have been retconned (usually in a campaign immediately after they happen)
- Lords of Minecraft
- DvZ
- Unforgotten Realms
- Unforgotten Quest
Timeline Placement of Band of Thieves
- The possibility of something happening is not the same as something happening. For example, K4 could have appeared in The Unseen Rogues instead of Squinks. However, he did not, and therefore his potential appearance has no bearing on canon.
- Though it was at first teased that Porc Hunters might take place after Band of Thieves when it was mentioned that the Kobold that Dave was escorting was connected to a band of thieves that attacked the Sunswords, this was just to mislead the audience. The prisoner was actually Chimera, not Philhipé, and he was connected to the Murder Bros, not Yumi's band of thieves.
Timeline Placement of Kobold Headhunters
- In the Silvermine Mountains campaign, Gwyneth Sunsword mentioned that the elves had done some work in Karazzim in the past. However, this comment has no real bearing on the timeline placement of Kobold Headhunters, and just means that the elves influenced the town at some point.
- Since it's unclear how the Vampire Locket works, it's also unclear if Kobold Headhunters and Unseen Rogues happen at the same time or not.
- In The Skeleton King, a vision shows Romulus leaving to find Neena Brando, implying that she is alive and possibly in the same time as Romulus. This may not mean that the campaigns happen simultaneously, but may instead mean that they happen within a short enough time of eachother that both characters are alive at the same time.
Pot Puppies
- Pot puppies lives for around a year, this is canon [1], however there is the possibility that a pot puppy could eat dragon scales and therefore live longer. Additionally note that we do not know how long a year is in URealms and so we cannot use pot puppies to measure the aging of characters other than the number attached to their age.
Placement of The Cobblers and The Death of Virgo
- It has been previously stated on the timeline that: "In The Cobblers, Reginald Barringster III has his mind made blank by Borris Cobbler" This has been asserted to prove that The Cobblers is before The Death of Virgo with the logic that with his mind blank Reginald Barringster III could have his mind taken over by legion, resulting in him betraying the party in The Death of Virgo. However it is equally possible that his mind was already taken over by legion and that was cleared from his mind or even that his mind was never taken over by legion in the first place.
Characters appearing in multiple campaigns
- While the existence of certain characters in more than one campaign may possibly create a definitive connection because of events that transpire in said campaigns (Such as The Tower of Ultimate Wizardry: Chapter One taking place before Zarlin Catacombs due to Morgana appearing in both and dying in the latter), there are many instances of characters making multiple appearances without any information to suggest that one appearance must come after the other. Examples include:
- Dave in Band of Thieves and The Sunswords/Porc Hunters.
- Gwyneth Sunsword in Band of Thieves and other linked appearances of Gwyneth.
- Squinks in Band of Thieves and The Unseen Rogues.
- Neena Brando and Romulus in The Unseen Rogues and Kobold Headhunters. (See Timeline Placement of Kobold Headhunters above.)
- Fenrus in Band of Thieves and The New Crew.
- Alessa Stonemason in Woodcarvers/The Grand Paladin Order and Okagnoma Guild Hall.
- Bumbley in Band of Thieves and the Believer who was summoned in Okagnoma Guild Hall.
- Dob in The Blood Snake Queen and Murder Bros.
- Reginald Barringster III in The Death of Virgo and The Cobblers. (See Placement of The Cobblers and The Death of Virgo above.)
- Galen Sunsword in Buckeroos and The Fall of Dundinborough/The Grand Paladin Order.
- Slippery Knuckles Malone, Belladona von Feingart, and Emit Crank in The Blood Snake Queen and Den of Devils.
- Jo Krysstal in Jewel of the Dingo Isles/The New Crew and the Believer who appeared in Den of Devils.
- Sergio Fabioso in Zarlin Catacombs and The Grand Paladin Order.
- Jenathorn Barringster in The Fall of Dundinborough and the time when Phineas Barringster learned Darkvision, as mentioned in The Senate of Deadlantis.
- Phineas Barringster and Kinney Boots in Coe's Quest and their other linked appearances.
- Nisovin in any of his various appearances.
Lieutenant Surge
- The mace Lieutenant Surge, held by Ca-rell and Kinney Boots is not a one-of-a-kind weapon. It is merely a mace enchanted with lightning.
Dreamweaver Visions
- In The Cobblers and The Skeleton King, Boris Cobbler and Are'ani have visions of the past and future. However, these visions are not canon. There are many ways in which the characters could be incorrectly interpreting the events of the vision or the characters within.
The Word of Rob
- Not everything that Rob says is automatically the case for the timeline. If Rob asserts something to be the case, but when reason and logic is applied and it does not make sense, then it is not the case. Rob is only human, he can make mistakes. Case in point: The Cobblers and The Death of Virgo placement and this. Also the word of Rob is still under the rule that only things said in campaigns and Coe's Quest are canon.
- One example of Word of Rob is this (rough) timeline shown in the Den of Devils Behind the Scenes video. While it gives players a generally good idea of what happens when, it has a few flaws, and isn't an official timeline.
- While Word of Rob is generally considered non-canon, it can sometimes affect how canon is viewed. In one of Rob's Behind the Scenes videos, he mentioned that any time the players sing "Fuck the Kobolds", it has no bearing on the timeline placement, since it's just the go-to song that the players will sing as an in-joke without regard for the timeline. As such, it is generally not a good idea to use that song as proof for timeline placement.
