Popo is the first character to have sold his starting gear in exchange for new gear during the Character Creation.
Popo had access to his Magician abilities from Character Creation. This is because he was originally an Elf, and had 2 magician spells. An error in the map, in which the cards didn't update, showed Popo as an Elf with all his Elf abilities including those Magician spells. This small mistake could be easily written into a plot line if it's brought up in the BTS video.
