Revision as of 21:34, 21 March 2017
Although URealms Live is about fun and role play, it needs to make money to stay afloat. The way this is done is by making supporter events that the twitch chat can donate money to activate. When supporter events were first introduced, in Band of Thieves, there were only events that aided the enemy, but the community wanted to be able to help the heroes as well, so in Porc Hunters Rob added events that aid the heroes.
Almost every combat has three supporter events, some of which aid the heroes and others that aid the enemy. Chat can see the effect that each supporter event will have on the show, but the heroes can't even see that there are any supporter events. From The Sunswords onwards, treasures were sometimes available for purchase after combat. There are some supporter events that occur during combat that negatively affect the party, but give the heroes more gold. There are also supporter events that activate a combat, such as the Gemlord combat in Band of Thieves. Some Supporter Events can occur out of combat, but most are withing fights.
In season one almost all supporter events, aside from treasure giving supporter events, have a short animation animated by Nick Graves which plays upon activation. In season two and three Sixelona took up the role of doing the animation for supporter events in place of Graves.
The URealms Side Quest campaigns are not done live and such do not have supporter events. They are the only campaigns to not have supporter events and will not be included on this page.
In the first campaign of season two Rob added 'Card Quests' which are active during every combat. Phineas (at a meta level) leaches from the overflow to complete three 'quests' which each unlock special cards. Whilst Phineas is able to leach from the overflow he will walk, but when unable to he will stand still. Upon completing a 'quest' Phineas will exclaim "Yeah!" and when he completes the final 'quest' he starts dancing. When the first 'quest' is reached lore card(s) are put up in the bottom right corner of the stream (selectable through buttons) for viewers to read. The second 'quest' adds the abilities of the monsters in the combat to the viewer in the bottom right corner. If either of these 'quests' are completed the respective cards from the completed 'quest' are added to the URealms website (live.urealms.com/cards). The third and final 'quest' is slightly different. If this 'quest' is completed each player gets one legendary roll. If any player is successful with their legendary roll the respective legendary item they are given will be added to the URealms website.
Note: The 'quests' must be completed in order 'Monster Ability Cards', 'Lore Cards', 'Legendary Rolls'. (Disclaimer: Not official names)

*Note: after the Chimera combat, instead of having post combat treasure supporter events, Rob decided Dave would show the heroes 5 treasures from a bag he was carrying and give them 4 of those treasures.[1]
**Note: the supporter events during the Porbo combat were not showing progress bars correctly and the chat couldn't see the effect of the supporter events, so Rob removed the donations from them and activated them throughout the combat when he felt the heroes were winning.[2][3]

If you donate to this event, even a little bit, you will be dooming many of the beloved characters created on this show over the last two years, but in return you will get to watch them venture into the pits of hell itself. So what do you value more? The life of fictional characters, or their story? Death is the only Ending. Choose it wisely. This donation event leads to a follow-up campaign for the 9th show this Season that takes place shortly after the events of this campaign as the survivors, the Grand Paladin Order, the Guild of Explorers, and a whole bunch of mercenaries we have created and met from all the shows will venture deeper into this cave. This Spell becomes canon for all future Skelephelks. If there is a Tie vote, a 4th random Spell will be drawn and this will become the spell the Skelephelks can cast. The Skelephelk learned Reanimation, which allowed it to revive itself as much as it pleased |
||||
| Reanimation | Something isn't right... This Skelephelk shouldn't be this strong. The Skelephelk restores all of its Stamina and gains new Attacks and Abilities that even the Gods have trouble understanding.
For defeating the Skelephelk, the Players will be granted a Legendary Roll. |
Legendary Roll each | |||
| Golden Golem | Ruby Sword | The Golem manipulates all the Gold and Treasure around him to form a giant Ruby Sword. The Golem will now start attacking the Players. The Golem is a Passive entity and can be easily defeated by the Players without this Event. |
|||
| Say That Again? | The Golem is now able to speak. Once per round it will say something very cryptic and confusing as well as granting him a very powerful and punishing Ability. | ||||
| Sundrunks | The Sunswords stumble into the vault completely wasted on E.X.X.X.P. Ale. They are here to help in combat, but are they really going to be much help in their current state. The answer is no. If all Donation Events are triggered, Each Player will be given Two Legendary Rolls. |
Two Legendary Rolls each | |||
| Defend the Shrine | OLD MAN WILLAKERS | The Lightbeard clan and their leader, Lance Willakers, answer the call to come to the aid of the Dundinborough clan.
This event creates an alternate ending to this campaign which is not mandatory to the story as we have worked hard to create two really fun endings. If the Party is defeated (not necessarily killed) before this event can be triggered, the Lightbeard Clan will not be able to arrive in time. You should consider this event to be very optional and only support it if you would like to introduce the Lightbeard clan. |
*Note: The donation images for 'Wielding Death' and 'Trunk Magic' are not available, so if you have the image, feel free to add it in the relevant section.
| Donation Block | Event Name | Icon | Flavor Text | Rewards | Timestamp for Activation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bad Omens | Visions of the Past | Nisovin meditates for a moment and is able to look into the past using Dreamweaver Magic to reveal the events that took place and explain the mysterious death of No-Eye Bromas.
Nisovin will also roll and, should he Critically Fail, will lose his mind which drastically changes the end of this campaign. |
|||
| The Second Sin | The first time a Player Character fails a Death Roll during this Campaign, this event will be triggered and prevent the Death. You shouldn't mess with Sins of the Unforgotten, the Characters you save will never be the same. The price to save your favorite Characters is higher than anything you can imagine. Death is the only Ending. Choose it wisely.
If this Donation Event is triggered after being funded, it will cause a Sin of the Unforgotten. After the 5th Sin of the Unforgotten, a FATE WORSE THAN DEATH will fall upon the next Player Character to fail a Death Roll. Note: The Character Roamin made during Character Creation this week is unable to Sin due to him being a Believer. Because of this, I'll allow the Sin to be also potentially applied to Karl Landers, Michael Langstrom, and Slippery Knuckles Malone (Roamin's characters from previous shows). |
Sin of the Unforgotten | |||
| Dragon Slaying | Dragonrage | All Whelplings gain a powerful new Ability called Dragonrage which deals a massive amount of damage and can warp the mind of those they glance at. Some Characters have special storylines if hit by this Ability.
For defeating the Whelpling, the Players will be granted a Legendary Roll. |
Legendary Roll Each | ||
| Highmaster Karl | The accomplished ranger Karl Landers uses his experiences with his last encounter with a Whelpling to unleash a flurry of arrows that will disable the Dragon from moving for the rest of the encounter.
For defeating the Whelpling, Karl Landers will get 2 Legendary Rolls (because he is a Kobold after all!) to acquire the Legendary that was made for him during the Unexpected Discovery campaign. |
2 Legendary Rolls for Karl Landers | |||
| Stick to the Plan | Cartographer Nikers Fontain will jump to the aid of any Character about to be hit by the Dragon Fire Ability blocking it with his body preventing all damage to others who stand behind him at the cost of potentially his own life each time.
Nikers will continue using this strategy for the rest of the campaign to block abilities and attacks for others at his own expense. |
||||
| Flame Spookies | Wombo Combo | Nisovin uses his signature Wormhole Spell to pull all the Foes close together and Raynel follows up using the power of her Dragonhammer Staff to freeze them in a Blizzard. All Foes take a massive amount of damage and are stunned for the rest of the round.
For defeating the Flame Spookies, the Players will be granted a Legendary Roll. |
Legendary Roll Each | ||
| Slime Time | Michael Langstrom pulls out his Slimey Tunnel Shovel, which he named Taylang in remembrance of his late son, and covers the Battlefield in slime.
For the rest of the encounter, Characters will be able to safely move around the Battlefield without falling into Lava. |
||||
| The Hatchery | Molten Gold | The Dragonflies will once around attempt to drop Molten Gold on Characters. Characters who cannot dodge this attack will be forced to Death Roll.
For defeating the Dragonflies, the Players will be granted a Legendary Roll. |
Legendary Roll Each | ||
| Seed of Despair | Once per round, a Dragonfly will attempt to bite a Characters head and lay dormant eggs in their skull. When this Character dies, a swarm of Dragonflies will spawn out of that Characters corpse a few moments later. This infection lasts for the rest of that Characters Life.
This is a parasitic effect can cause chain reactions in both this campaign and future campaigns with all infected Characters. Future campaigns could have unexpected Dragonfly encounters after a Character dies that in turn infect even more Characters which creates more Dragonfly encounters. |
||||
| Tambok?! | A giant frog falls from the sky and lands in the middle of the Battlefield. It is the spirit of Tambok! Oh my goodness this is so rare and Nisovin knows it! Everyone stop what your doing and kill that frog before he disappears!
The Players have 1 second for every 5 people watching the Live Stream at time this event triggers to defeat Tambok who has 300 Stamina. The Players will not be informed that they have a limited amount of time. If they are able to defeat Tambok, all Players are given a Tambok Ticket. |
Tambok Ticket each | |||
| Escape from Hell | Hurry Up Wizard! | Master Wizard Nisovin is attempting to open up a Portal out of the Den of Devils, but is struggling to maintain concentration. It will take 8 rounds to open up the Portal, but if this event is triggered, it will only take 5 rounds. Those 3 rounds could mean the difference between saving an extra Character or two or even the prevent a full party wipe.
Thank you to everyone who supported the show this week! |
