NPCs or Non Player Characters are characters that are controlled by the Game Master. Even though some NPCs are distinguished as a certain class, they are not necessarily limited to that class's abilities (e.g. a Sorcerer NPC can be capable of using a Wizard's Fireball). As a rule, assume for in universe reasons assume: A, a wizard did it. B, Maybe such person/thing is able to do so in the same way some people can play both an instrument and a sport.
