Duncan is one of the teachers of Okagnoma Guild Hall, who appears in Okagnoma Guild Hall. At the college, he teaches Biology, dissecting many different creatures, from Porcs to Goblins.

Duncan is heavily inspired by the character Severus Snape from Harry Potter, in both the design of his character and the way he was portrayed in Okagnoma Guild Hall.
Duncan is one of three known characters who share the same name, along with Duncan of the Future Winners and Duncan the Porc.
