Almost every combat has three supporter events (the Cobra King combat only had two), some of which aid the heroes and others that aid the enemy. Chat can see the effect that each supporter event will have on the game, but the heroes can't even see that there are any supporter events. As of Porc Hunters, after each combat, along with the one treasure from the party leader's bonus, chat can activate supporter events to get the heroes up to three more treasures. These treasures can be converted into two Rejuvenation Potions, two Regrowth Potions, a single Quickness Elixir or taken as is. All of these treasures/potions are distributed among the party by the party leader however they wish. In Porc Hunters Rob remarked that the treasure supporter events are too expensive, but explained why when he said he didn't want the heroes getting four free treasures after every combat. Despite this he changed the treasure supporter event prices down to $50 each, significantly cheaper than before. For Sunswords Rob removed post combat treasure events and replaced them with a phase where the players buy treasures with gold not unlike in character creation. He also made supporter events that occur during combat that negatively affect the party give the heroes more gold. Finally there are supporter events that activate a combat, such as the Gemlord combat in Roamin's Band of Thieves.

Next there were supporter events that activate a combat, such as the Gemlord combat in Roamin's Band of Thieves.

Each supporter event, aside from treasure giving supporter events, has its own short animation animated by Nick Graves which plays upon activation.

For The Jewel of the Dingo Isles Rob added an OverFlow counter to the supporter events bar. This is so that when more money than required to activate an event is donated that money has a place to go so it can still be useful. Rob uses this overflow when and where he pleases. For example in The Jewel of the Dingo Isles he when the NPC turn came round in the harpy combat he added an extra $10 to the supporter event EAGLEBEAR from the overflow, so that the eaglebear would arrive that turn instead of the next.

Almost all supporter events, aside from treasure giving supporter events, have a short animation animated by Nick Graves which plays upon activation.

In The Many Gobos of Pat Rob added role play supporter events that did not occur during a combat and merely attacked to change and encourage role play.

Revision as of 23:58, 14 February 2016

Rob, I want to use an interrupt. Warning! The following page contains spoilers for the most recent campaign! Oh no!

Although Unforgotten Realms Live is about fun and role play, it needs to make money to stay afloat. The way this is done is by making supporter events that the twitch chat can donate money to activate. Originally, in The Nuren Campaign there were no supporter events, but that was before UR Live became a weekly event. When supporter events first came in, in Roamin's Band of Thieves there were only events that aided the enemy, but the community wanted to be able to help the heroes as well, so in Porc Hunters Rob added events that aid the heroes.

For Sunswords Rob removed post combat treasure events and replaced them with a phase where the players buy treasures with gold not unlike in character creation. He also made supporter events that occur during combat that negatively affect the party give the heroes more gold. Next there were supporter events that activate a combat, such as the Gemlord combat in Roamin's Band of Thieves.

Almost all supporter events, aside from treasure giving supporter events, have a short animation animated by Nick Graves which plays upon activation.

In The Many Gobos of Pat Rob added role play supporter events that did not occur during a combat and merely attacked to change and encourage role play.

The URealms Side Quest campaigns are not done live and such do not have supporter events. They are the only campaign to not have supporter events and will not be included on this page.

*Note: after the Chimera combat, instead of having post combat treasure supporter events, Rob decided Dave would show the heroes 5 treasures from a bag he was carrying and give them 4 of those treasures.[1]

**Note: the supporter events during the Porbo combat were not showing progress bars correctly and the chat couldn't see the effect of the supporter events, so Rob removed the donations from them and activated them throughout the combat when he felt the heroes were winning.[2][3]

Grill Pits Off* Turns the fire from the grills off. YouTube
Cute or Bruce? A basket of pot puppies fall from the ceiling along with 12 aggressive skeletons that surround the pot puppies, but will not kill them, as they are trying to protect them. If killed the skeletons will use their full turn to revive themselves. This however can only be done a certain amount of times as all the skeletons share the same stamina pool and once that reaches zero they can no longer revive. The pot puppies are immune to fire an turn into fire puppies if they come into contact with fire. YouTube

*Note: these events were activated multiple times each, by achieving the donation goal again, so chat could essentially fight over the grills being on or off. As such the time stamps only refer to the first activation.

**Note: none of this is canon.

*Note: Rob accidentally activated the animation for this event and so decided that the cookies were finished cooking and were burning, but the heroes wouldn't get them yet and chat had to hurry up and finish the event goal or the cookies would burn. Later on Rob decided to not activate the event and so the cookies were burnt.

**Note: Rob forgot to put the supporter events sidebar up on the livestream so chat did not know to donate and no goals were achieved.

***Note: when this event occurred Dankie was unconscious. Chat had been quickly donating to the goal in order to kill him. It did in fact kill him in the end resulting in the first ever character death in Unforgotten Realms Live.

^Note: due to how late the stream was going and because of the missed treasures from the last combat, Rob decided to give the heroes two extra treasures to choose from as he believed they would need the options for the final battle as chat would likely be unable to reach the donation goals as many people had left, because it was so late. These, like the party leader's bonus are not actually supporter events, but happened at the same time.

+Note: the heroes were shown six treasures, but were only able to take four. This treasure was not taken.

Party Leader's Bonus

The party leader's bonus is a single treasure that is automatically given to the party without any influence from chat. The party leader's bonus is not actually a supporter event, but it occurs at the same time as the other treasure supporter events after combat. The party leader's bonus was discontinued along with the post combat treasures for Sunswords.
