The Flame Spooky was a boss first appearing in the The Sunswords.

Characteristics

Appearance

The Flame Spooky is a much bigger (and scarier) version of a Fire Spirit. It is described as having the shape of a reverse pyramid. When taken significant damage the Flame Spooky will shrink in size.

Abilities

Flame Blast

The Flame Spooky briefly gathers energy before unleashing a massive wave of flames which can potentially absorb health from beings caught in the blast.

Flame Tether

The Flame Spooky attaches a fiery leash to a target. The next time the Flame Spooky takes damage, half of that damage is also dealt to the tethered target. The tether is then broken.

Fire Sprites

The Flame Spooky summons lesser Fire Sprites to aid it in battle.

Fireball

A simple ball of fire that deals 10 damage to a target.

History

The Sunswords

As Gwyneth Sunsword lead part of her squad through a blazing barn to answer the cries of trapped residents, a Flame Spooky emerged from the inferno and promptly attacked the Elves and prisoners who remained outside. The Flame Spooky scorched Fizzy Wizzy to death and proceeded to annihilate part of the nearby forest with a Flame Blast. Although intimidating, the Flame Spooky was no match for the resourcefulness of Gwyneth's team, and it was eventually finished off by Bob.
