High Bear is a playable Race in Unforgotten Realms Live. THey are a race of powerful giant bears that very little is known about.

High Bears are the only other race as old as Elves. They tend to see themselves above all other races and view honor and family as being more valuable than even their relationships with the dragon aspects. Low Bears are those who have dishonored their family or kingdom and have been exiled from Ursamar to live among the other races. A racial slur for Low Bears is A'nu.

Abilities

High Bears are known to be extremely powerful, accessing almost any spell they can. However, it is known that they cannot use any from the Ice School of Magic, but it is currently not known as to why.

The High Bear Laws

High Bears are honorable creatures, and betraying one another is an act of treason. As such, if a High Bear breaks the trust of their community, they are banished through a ceremony called A'nu Lomante, which translates to "Farewell Disgraced", and announced an A'nu, or Low Bear, unworthy of honor.

The High Bears once resided in Ursazoll, the highest peak in the Realms. However, after the Birth of Magic, Yvander, depressed by her father's death, forced the High Bears from Ursazoll, so she could stay there herself, as she believed that she would be closest to Phanto. The High Bears relocated to Ursamar, their new home. After this the High Bears outlawed the casting of Ice Magic.

Low Bear	Mountable	Low Bears have the companion skill Ride and can allow up to 3 Allies at a time to ride on their back. Low Bears gain triple Stamina from their Class, gain a Chaos action each round, and can wield weapons to Basic Attack with using their mouth (this weapons basic attack damage is increased to 10). High Bears are not usually Companions, but this Lowbear has lost all honor and will work for the lower races. Ride can be used to have up to 3 Allies ride in their back. High Bears have access to the Bite, Swipe, and Ride Companion Abilities.

• Berserkers have the ability to turn into Vendo form, a hybrid of their own race and a High Bear, using the skill Bearserk.
• High Bears existed as a concept in the Unforgotten Realms web series, with a character known as Ursa Arcadius being an "Archduke of the High Bears".
