The Yitts are a species of rock-like creatures that appear to resemble a boulder at first. They were first seen in The Sunswords campaign.

History

It is currently unknown how or when the Yitts were initially created. Appearing to lack sentience, they appeared in mountain caves, surrounded by other rocks. It is unknown if they harbor a connection to similar creatures such as the Gemlings or Stone Guardians. It is known that they appear to be common obsticales of Gwyneth Sunsword.

Sunswords

Yitts were first encountered during The Sunswords campaign, in which they first showed off their appearance and abilities. These Yitts lived in a very rocky canyon, and were slain by the Sunswords.

Characteristics

Yitts possess the ability to alter their physical form when they are damaged by someone. They choose the form of the person damaging them and utilise their abilities without cost. It has been shown that the physical appearance is only an outer shell, with their rocky appearance appearing beneath it. The shell can be damaged by an intense fireball, but it does not hinder the ability copy ability.

If a Yitt is able to directly attack a living being, they will jump inside the skin of that person and enter their body. While inside a person's body, the Yitt will attempt to gain control over the person's mind dying in the process, but turning the character anti-party. It is possible to resist this control.

Meta Yitt

The Meta Yitts are an evolved form of the Yitts that allows them to transform into any being that either once existed, or currently exists in the Unforgotten Realms World. When a Yitt transforms into a Meta Yitt, they appear in an array of colors before flashing through different potential forms. When they are attacked, they will decide on a form and begin attacking.

When being attack change form into the attacker or a random person.

Possession

Suicide attack to control any close by enemies.

Trivia

• The Meta Yitts abilities causes some confusion around the continuity. The explanation about this is in their names: Meta. Meaning 'a prefix added to the name of something that consciously references or comments upon its own subject or features.'
• The Yitts may be inspired from the Pokemon Ditto, being able to turn into and copy the abilities of those it sees.
