Tarandos are large elk creatures that are peaceful herbivores found in dense forests. During the campaign Buckeroos, Galen Sunsword and his compatriots were seen riding a group of Tarandos.

Characteristics

The Tarandos is a large moose like creature that often has a lot of stamina for long distance rides. It also seems like these animals are easily domesticated by Elves as they are both used as mounts by Galen Sunsword and used in the Pony Races in Than'drellfal. The of the most notable traits of the Tarandos is their intricate horns at the top of their head, which they often use in combat against their enemies.

The Tarandos is the mount of choice for Galen Sunsword and his troop of Elven soldiers, as seen in Buckeroos.

Galen Sunsword: Private Investigator

In Galen Sunsword: Private Investigator, when the group goes to the casino to track down the buyer of the Legendary Spell Scroll from Sallazhar Sintour, they bet on which animal would win. Out of the Catapult Turtle, a Tarandos, a Groundbold, and an Elephelk, the Tarandos won.
