Blood Snake

Blood Snakes were first seen in the Roamin's Band of Thieves campaign.

History

The first appearance of the Blood Snake species was in Roamin's Band of Thieves campaign. They appeared in the Blood Forest that connected to the Monkey Fish King's cave right outside the Spellblade Elves village on the first board. They burrowed themselves into the walls of the forest, awaiting unfamiliar travellers, which happen to be Yumi's Thieves Guild.

When they entered the forest, they were unfortunately met with the serpents in full force. After a show of badassery from Philhipé, they entered further into the forest, attacking and being attacked by more and more Blood Snakes. Then the Cobra King appeared, attacking from afar. The battle continued on, with each Thief becoming more and more tired, with even Squinks running from the battle. It was not until Kobold Number 4 gave a swift hit to its head, killing it.

Characteristics

Blood Snakes are weak serpent creatures that reside in forests and excrete blood. They are aggressive in nature and are deadly when surrounded. This causes the Spellblade Elves and some Kobolds to fear them. However they are easily dealt with with a group.

Cobra King

The Cobra King is a much larger variant of the smaller Blood Snakes. They have the ability fire large blood beams from their mouths and visciously attack anyone near. However, with all their impressive abilities, they are still as weak as their smaller counterparts.

Powers and Abilities

Reptilian Physiology:

  • Enhanced Bite: Blood Snakes have large jaws that allow them to grasp a hold of targets as they attempt to pass by.
  • Constriction: Blood Snakes can coil around targets; this allows the target to remain stationary, allowing the Snake to attack.
  • Burrowing: Blood Snakes have been known to create nests deep into forests and hedges. Their burrowing techniques are not successful enough to be hidden away from piercing shots, however.
  • Weak Cranium: All species of Blood Snake share a common weakness; a swift and accurate blow to the head will render the serpents dead.
  • Susceptible to Taming: Blood Snakes can also be easily charmed. However a poor charming technique will result in failure.
  • Unnatural Size: A certain subspecies of Blood Snake, namely the Cobra King species, are known to be several times bigger than their counterparts.
    • Blood Beam Emission: The Blood Cobra King has the ability to fire a wide beam of blood from his mouth. This “Blood Spit” can be blocked, however.
    • Prehensile Tail: The Blood Cobra King has a much larger tail than the general Blood Snakes, allowing him to use the tail as an offensive maneuver.
