Unforgotten Realms Live or UR Live is a group-based live role-playing game and event created by Robert Moran and developed by both him and numerous other contributors, primarily the Buffalo Wizards. The game operates with the intent of "dumbing down tabletop roleplay to it's purest form of storytelling and adventure". Unforgotten Realms Live is played using Tabletop Simulator and in-house software (e.g. Puppet Pals).

In contrast to stereotypical role-playing games Unforgotten Realms Live is more about the discussion, interaction, comedy and the drama than rolling the dice. Although the focus of Rob, the Game Master, is creating entertaining content for the audience he tries to stay true to the constantly updated rule set.

Like the name suggests, the adventures take place in a world called the Unforgotten Realms.

Gameplay

Unforgotten Realms Live uses several elements to create both the game and it's storytelling environment. These can be split into two basic categories: Cards and The Board. By use of both of these elements spectators and players can build a picture of the game world as it currently stands.

Another large element of Unforgotten Realms Live is the luck of the dice, literally. A huge element of this game is a twenty sided die that everyone rolls to perform almost every action, if a player wants to use an ability, they roll, and if the Game Master is playing as an enemy, they will roll the die too.

In Unforgotten Realms Live, all characters have only stamina, a combination of health and mana. Using abilities and taking damage will lower a character's stamina. When a character loses all of their stamina, they will pass out, or, in severe cases, die.
