Birth of Magic

After The Great Hatching, the Realms were a Utopia, filled with Light magic. Only Elves, High Bears, Dragon Aspects, and Divine Beings lived in the lands, and no one could die. This was until the Sun Dragon Phanto died, and crystallized, becoming the Moon. This upset the balance of the Light magic, which caused it to split into other magics, in the event known as the Birth of Magic. These varied from the lighter magics, such as Earth and Fire, down to the darkest magics, such as Ice, Arcane, and Dark magic itself. After the Birth of Magic, not only were the old races no longer immortal, but many new races started appearing (Most were created by Thor), such as Dwarves, Kobolds, Porcs, Forn, Shellmind and Gnomes (Gnomes were not created by Thor, but instead randomly began to appear, their exact creator is unknown).
