Unforgotten Realms Live, or UR Live for short, is a group-based role-playing game created by Robert Moran and developed by both him and numerous other contributors, primarily the Buffalo Wizards. The game operates with the intent of "dumbing down tabletop roleplay to its purest form of storytelling and adventure" [1]. Unforgotten Realms Live is played using Tabletop Simulator and in-house software (e.g. Puppet Pals). It consists of adventures undertaken by players in a world called the Unforgotten Realms.

In contrast to stereotypical role-playing games, Unforgotten Realms Live concentrates more on discussion, interaction, comedy, and drama than the roll of the die. Although Rob, the Game Master, aims to stay true to the constantly updated rule set, his main goal is creating entertaining content for the audience.

The Buffalo Wizards play through a newly made campaign of Unforgotten Realms Live each week, which can be viewed live every Saturday at 3 PM EST at Coestar's Twitch channel. Previous campaigns are also uploaded to Rob's Youtube channel.

Gameplay

Unforgotten Realms Live uses several elements to create both the game and its storytelling environment. These can be split into two basic categories: Cards and the Board. By use of both of these elements, spectators and players can build their own image of the world as the game plays out.

Another large element of Unforgotten Realms Live is the luck of the dice, literally. A huge element of this game is a twenty-sided die that all participants roll to perform almost every action. If a player wants to use an ability, they roll, and if the Game Master is attacking as an enemy NPC, they will also roll.

In Unforgotten Realms Live, all characters have just stamina, a combination of the health and mana stats seen in traditional Dungeons & Dragons. Using abilities and taking damage will both lower a character's stamina. When a character loses all of their stamina, they will pass out, or, in extreme cases, die.
