The Bard class within Unforgotten Realms Live is notable for being a support and utility caster with the ability to deceive or manipulate enemies. Whether controlling with Charm or amplifying spells with Double Down, the Bard is living proof that actions can be louder than words, or in the Bard's case, lyrics.

Abilities

Name / Description Stamina Cost Image
Borrow 1
Bards may swap this ability with any of their allies abilities, and use said ability. If the cost of that ability is more than the cost of Borrow, you must pay that cost as well. When borrowing an ability the role-player must say "Yoink" or said ability will fail.
Charm 3
The role-player must take a selfie and post it to the social media platform of their choice. Once this has been done you may attempt to charm a target. If successful the Bard may control the targets actions on their turn until the target breaks free.
Disguise 3
The role-player must change the voice of their character. The Bard may take on the shape of any creature or race until they stop doing the voice, in which case the magic of the spell breaks and you are returned to normal.
Double Down 3
Proclaim that you wish to double something. Damage, size, the effect of a spell. If the host deems this acceptable, roll a die. Should you succeed, said something is doubled. Should you fail, you take 3 damage and are shamed.
Lullaby 3
Create an impromptu song to sing to the table that relates to the events currently unfolding. If your song should impress the Game Master, you may put all enemies who hear it to sleep.

Powers

Bard Training:

  • Enhanced Charisma: Otherwise known as “Charm,” Bards have the ability to use his own appearance to persuade or influence others to his side. It is possible for the target to resist the charisma.
  • Biomorphing: Otherwise known as “Disguise,” biomorphing is an ability that allows Bards to transform into another living being. They must alter his voice to keep the disguise active.
    • Voice Mimicry: Bards have the ability to alter his voice after another. They use this in junction with their biomorphing to allow for a disguise.
  • Power Replication: Also known as “Borrow,” power replication allows for Bards to copy one of their ally’s abilities temporarily.
    • Vocal Dependant: If the Bard doesn’t signify the use of this power with a “Yoink,” the spell will fail.
  • Power Augmentation: Nicknamed “Double Down,” a Bard can increase the effect or power of another’s ability.
  • Sleep Inducement: By using a “Lullaby,” a Bard could put several targets to sleep. Critics are everywhere, though, so Lullaby will only work when the party is impressed.

Former Abilities

These abilities are either retired, or removed because of special circumstances

Cheers

Everyone at the table takes a drink. For the next round of combat, players do not have to drink when taking damage

  • Later replaced by Charm, this ability was specifically made for the Dank Dungeons and Dragons campaign, when drinks were used in place of stamina drain.
