Rufio was one of [[Gwyneth Sunsword|Gwyneth Sunsword's]] party members taking some prisoners to the [[Silver Mine Mountains]] prison in [[Sunswords]]. He betrayed the party and was sent to prison along with other prisoners.

== Personality and Traits ==
Rufio loves [[Dave|Dave's]] fan fiction books and always up votes them on the [[Magic Forums]] and has even retweeted two of them. Rufio was madly in love with [[Gwyneth Sunsword|Gwyneth]] up until [[Dave]], using the [[Treasures#Leader's Heartoak Staff|Leader's Heartoak Staff]], stripped him of his love for her.

== History ==
Not much is known about Rufio's life before joining Gwyneth's Sunswords. Rufio, like many elves, joined the Sunswords and follows her orders. He was one of the elves Gwyneth chose to escort prisoners to the Silver Mine Mountains, along with several of Gwyneth's ex-boyfriends and her current one. Through out the mission, Rufio wish to be Gwyneth's new lover, even going so far as to ask his friend Dave to write a story about him in that position, but Gwyneth sought no interest in this, nor did she really notice.

Rufio's obsession grew worse when it was revealed that Gwyneth was pregnant from [[Kallark]]. Eventually, under the stress of the invasion of several [[Porcs]], Rufio finally snapped. He walked behind the distracted Gwyneth and stabbed her in her stomach, killing the baby. Kallark threatened to kill Rufio, but Gwyneth suggested to leave him to rot in the prison for the rest of his life. Dave, while agreeing, wanted to easy his suffering. Dave utilized his special staff to break any love Rufio had for Gwyneth, snapping him from insanity to depression, and leaving him in the prison.

== Fate ==
After going insane with love for [[Gwyneth Sunsword|Gwyneth]], he stabbed her in the stomach, killing her baby and severely wounding Gwyneth. As punishment, he was sent to the [[Silver Mine Mountains]] prison.

In the the Silvermine Mountains campaign, it was revealed that Rufio had gone completely insane, and was very easily manipulated by [[Khn'n-Rell]] and quickly agreed to be a member of the Cult of Bones - as he was told he would no longer feel any pain, and he saw this as a chance to get Gwyneth to love him.

== Trivia ==
* Rufio's insanity was triggered by a mysteriously named [[Supporter Events|supporter event]] The Painful Twist. Chat did not know its effect, but was told they would not activate it if they did know what it was. This event made Rufio go insane and stab [[Gwyneth Sunsword|Gwyneth]] in the stomach. This was done in an attempt to cause a paradox as Gwyneth's death would cause a paradox making the entire campaign a fan fiction written by [[Dave]]. Fortunately, Gwyneth lived, placing the campaign where it should be.

===Appearance===
DeNada is a male Elf with neck length brown hair and crystal blue eyes. DeNada wears a blue and yellow [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ushanka Ushanka] with a golden broach on the front of it. He also wears a long sleeve, blue tunic with golden accents and the Theta symbol (Ө) on his left arm. He has white pants with a plain brown belt, brown boots with black accents and a black binding around his left leg to hold his Bewitching Mirror. On top of his traditional clothes, DeNada wears black studded pauldrons and gloves that are accented with brown lining.

===Personality===
DeNada is very grumpy and asocial. He has no desire to fulfill any of his duties and refuses to listen to command, stating he did not want to join the military. When asked to perform a task, he will profoundly refuse, unless tempted with the promise of Treasure or pay raises. Even then he considers showing up to be enough, preferring to spend his time lazing about. His lazy personality even extends so far as to use Earth Elementals as butlers to fetch beer and [[pissa]], while he loafs around in a tent.

He goes along best with [[Elmar]], since his easy-going personality suits him fine, while he often ignores [[Ca-Rell|Captain Ca-Rell's]] commands, viewing them as a drag, and holds no respect for her. DeNada and [[Templeton Barringster |Templeton]] do not go along well, due to DeNada's constant annoyance at his pompous attitude.

Over the course of the mission, DeNada starts to gain more respect for his captain and starts to participate more in fights. The largest turning point was when Ca-Rell uses Chivalry to take a huge hit for DeNada that would've probably killed him, saving his life. After this he truly becomes a part of the team, even taking part in strategy talks and at one point suggesting the team turns around, concerned with not only his, but all of their safety. His changed ways become very apparent at the Porbo fight, where he, rammed into a wall by a [[Skelephelk]], preferred to spent time setting up Blankets of Darkness to prevent further reinforcements rather than saving his own life.

His preferred method of attacking has not changed over the course of the adventure however, he mostly prefers to distance himself from the fight, attacking with long-distance moves and sending in Frost Elementals or Earthlords for close-combat fighting.

==Relationships==
===[[Ca-Rell]]===
In the beginning their relationship was rocky at best. He had no respect for her as Captain of the team, refused to listen to her orders, and even when bribed with promised of Treasures and pay raises loafed about in fights, mostly doing nothing. This slowly changes over the course of the mission, with him starting to put more faith in his captain, and he opens up completely after she saved his life. Afterwards they become good friends, with him trusting her and putting more effort into team fights, earning a promotion. He was sad when she left the team.

===[[Elmar]]===
DeNada and Elmar go along well. His lazy attitude meshes well with Elmar, and they often share some drinks at the bar. Elmar would be considered his best bud. He was happy when he was made team leader after Ca-Rell's resignation, stating that 'this is gonna be fun'.

In [[The Silvermine Mountains]] campaign, DeNada froze Elmar's willy, in a game of [[Chilly Willy]]'s, and shattered the ice, causing the willy to become detached. In this time, he attempted to use life drain on Elmar, but instead melted off his own skin. This reveals DeNada to have been a member of the [[Cult_of_Bones]].

===[[Templeton Barringster VII]]===
DeNada and Templeton have a negative relationship. DeNada is irritated by his elitist attitude and holds him in low regard.

===[[Phineas Barringster]]===
DeNada did not care about Phineas' life at all and would've rather spend his time at the bar drinking than joining the rescue mission. It is not known how he views Phineas after his change of heart, since the two were not seen interacting after this point.

===[[Call Earthlord|Earthlords]]===
DeNada has no sympathy for his Earthlords, not even viewing them as living creatures, calling them 'Shitlords'. He considers them glorified butlers and send huge packs of them to fight and die in battle in his place.

===[[Frost_Elemental#Notable_Frost_Elementals | Ice Lord]]===
Contrary to the Earthlords, DeNada had much love for his Frost Elemental, naming it Ice Lord, keeping it around at all time. He took all damage for Ice Lord to keep it alive, until the final battle when taking the hit could have meant death. He was very sad to let it go.

===Appearance===
Elmar is a male Elf with a thin figure, brown hair and blue eyes. Elmar was known for wearing many coats with the first layer of coats was a grey, hooded coat. The second layer is a green coat with a larger hood, but shorter coat tails. The third and final level of coat is a blue, hoodless one that is lined with fur and has the Theta symbol (Ө) on the right arm and is adorned with a loose brown belt and golden buckle. Underneath his coats, Elmar wears brown pants and brown boots with green laces.

===Personality===
Elmar is an easy-going and friendly Elf. He gets along with everyone in the team and was the only squadron member to obey the captain's orders in the beginning. His laissez-faire attitude does have some drawbacks however, as he didn't seem to care about the [[Fire Spirit]] he accidentally created, the forest it burned down or the Elf he decapitated trying to defeat it.

He is loyal to his team mates, respects his captain's decisions and is not afraid of taking command, which caused him to be promoted to Corporal and eventually to succeed Ca-Rell as Captain of the Theta Squad.

Just like most Elves, he hates [[Goblins]] and laughed so hard at one's misfortune he promptly fell off a bridge. This did cause some issues, since Elmar has severe hydrophobia and cannot swim.

==Relationships==

Elmar holds much respect towards her for being the captain and always obeys her commands. This behavior caused him to be the first member of the Theta Squad to be promoted, and was later promoted again by her hand. They share a bond of mutual trust, which at the end caused him to be chosen by her as her replacement as Captain of the Theta Squad.

===[[DeNada]]===
Due to his easy-going attitude, he meshes well with DeNada. They often share some drinks together at the bar and consider themselves best buds. At the and of the mission, they went off together as part of the new Theta Squad with both of them sharing the feeling that this new team was going to be fun.

During the Silvermine Mountains campaign, Elmar's friendship with DeNada presumably ended due to DeNada's reveal of being a member of the Cult of Bones, after freezing Elmar's manhood off after a game of chilly willy's.

===[[Templeton Barringster VII]]===
Elmar and Templeton never really had any extensive relationship, viewing themselves mostly as co-workers. This neutral relationship remained until the end, although Elmar did his best to avoid much contact with Templeton.

===[[Phineas Barringster]]===
Elmar does care for the youth, as he was relieved that he didn't accidentally set him on fire with the [[Fire Spirit]], but never had any real relationship with him until the end. Now Phineas is his underling as part of the new Theta Squad.

===[[Fire Spirit]]===
Elmar felt responsible for creating this Elemental, and thus took it upon him to defeat it. He did have some attachment to his creation however, since it took him a while to decide that killing the Elemental was the right thing to do.
