== Play Style ==
Coestar has taken to playing relatively "good" [[characters]] throughout the campaigns. He mostly plays more passive characters, generally focusing on strategy and diplomacy, and is willing to take one for the team.

===Pets and Allies===
Coe has a tendency to find or create pets and allies to help the party through their adventure.
* In [[The Nuren Campaign]] he turned [[Randall]] into his Nimbus to help the party.
* In [[Roamin's Band of Thieves]] he befriended [[Philhipé]] and caused him to join the them.
* In [[Porc Hunters]] he created an Ice Elemental named Ice Lord that became a member of Theta Squad.
* While he didn't create a pet in [[The Jewel of the Dingo Isles]], by the end of the adventure he did help save some puppies, one of which becomes his after the adventure and which his character raised for further adventures, appearing later in [[The New Crew]].
* In [[The Many Gobos of Pat]] he has a pet comb he names Scott. In addition, with his ability [[Mount]] he takes control of Giant [[Ramsters]] for a short while. He was intended to get a pet Donkey, however when it was thrown into the arena for him it killed him causing Coe to start playing as [[Don|The Donkey]].
* While he didn't have a pet in [[The Sunswords]], he did get a staff that allowed him to control the mind of whoever leads him. He used this staff to make potential enemies his ally by temporarily making them his leader and controlling them.
*In The [[Zarlin Catacombs]] he bought a pot puppy, which he named Steven. [[Steven the Pot Puppy]] was later killed by the [[Bennu Death Machine]], but he was put into a soul puppet. Sadly the Soul Puppet Steven spends the rest of his days in the giant chasm, with [[Morgan Marie]] and [[Prism]].

* All of Coe's characters (Dave and Gear Man excluded) have been based off puns.
** Many of which around the words "thanks", "you're welcome" or "no tricks".
* Coestar appeared during the [[Dank Dungeons and Dragons]] campaign as Coebat.
* [[Unforgotten Realms Live]] is streamed on Coestar's Twitch channel, even though [[Rob]] is the "host" of the show.

Merci is a male Porc with a muscular figure, blue beady eyes, yellow tusks and brown mutton chops and goatee. He wears a sleeveless button up white shirt, blue pants, a loose fitting brown belt with a golden buckle, and a black pirate hat with a large blue feather from an unknown creature on it. Most notably, Merci wears the skin of his former Captain as a cape as a show of power. Merci carries around with him a large black anchor (presumably made out of cast iron) with a golden chain and a small lantern with a fire sprite living inside, created from his own blood.

===Personality===
Merci is a natural born leader who demands respect and admiration from his crew, especially using his fantastic mutton chops and [[Porc Skin Armor]]. He is very straightforward and always trying to think ahead, and tries to get his crew through thick and thin without a hitch. He always stays calm and collected and never lets the situation get to his head in the heat of battle. However, he does show some favoritism towards the [[Porc|Porcs]] of his group over the [[Kobold|Kobolds]].

By wearing the skin of a dead Porc, Merci strikes fear and awe into his crewmates. He is seen as a figure of respect by both the Porcs and Kobolds alike.

===Background===
Like all Porcs, Merci was once a simple pig that entered a pit of mysterious purple liquid and emerged as a Porc. He later became a pirate unlike many Porcs who live in packs in caves.

At some point during his career as a pirate, Merci murdered the original captain of the ''[[Bocoe]].'' Merci fashioned the former captain's skin into a set of armor that he uses to further intimidate his crew. After getting to know [[McCoy]], they eventually got over the hurdle of his armor creating a bond. This led to Merci promoting McCoy to First Mate.

===[[The Jewel of the Dingo Isles]]===
After receiving a map from [[Nisovin]], he heads off on an adventure to the [[Dingo Isles]] to retrieve a gem. He shoves off right away and sleeps for the first 13 days of the journey, but is awoken shortly before a group of [[Harpies]] and an [[EagleBear]] raid the ship in search of fish yogurt. His ship suffers some heavy damage during a fight with [[Colin the Behemoth|the Behemoth]], losing the front port-side cannon. He is almost dragged to a watery death by one of its tentacles, while a crew member, [[Jakelad]], betrays the crew and is killed. He starts to feel the heat when on the Isles in a temple, trying to rescue [[Pot Puppy|Pot Puppies]] from the flames of a room-sized grill. The stress and flames prove to be a little too much, as he struggles to get his crew to follow his orders and get anything coordinated done. At this moment, he loses some of his authority to the possibility of the puppies dying, or of the crew being trapped in a grill.

After escaping the grill of death, Merci sends McCoy to retrieve the gem while he hangs back with the rest of the crew. Afterwards, he leaves with his crew, and one can assume that they give the gem to [[Nisovin]] and determine its worth.

===[[The New Crew]]===
Merci returns to Nisovin, and is given the job to steal a key from the elf resort of [[Laeyuleaugh]]. To help, Nisovin sends his apprentice [[Rick Snot]] to help. They then go to recruit new crew members at a local tavern. while he leaves McCoy to recruit new members, Kinney Boots quits saying that she cannot stand the number of Porcs, Elf children and Goblins on board any longer. On the ship, he discovers the stowaway [[Ladyir]] after his hand was eaten by [[Cain]] and used a bloody handkerchief to make a to tourniquet to stop the bleeding and pain. While the others play a rousing game of [[Unforgotten Realms]] he stays below to talk with [[Octivias]].

During the siege of Laeyuleaugh, McCoy catches a Gnome off guard and kills those he alerts. He then sets his sights on the manor. After a brief fight with [[Fenrus]] the crew fled the scene leaving Merci in the hands of the Sun Clerics. Later in the campaign he is seen aboard [[Virgo Sunsword]]'s ship, tied to the mast. When [[Marco]] & [[Polo]] untie him he refuses to run. When McCoy tries to save him Merci explains that they must surrender or they will all be killed. Eventually he convinces him by explaining to him that they don't kill but to imprison them in [[The Silvermine Mountains]] as long as no elves die, and his crew surrenders apart from the Goblins [[Marco]] and [[Polo]].

===Fate===
Merci is captured by the [[Sunswords]] on [[Laeyuleaugh]] after failing to jump on Cain's back as he charged out of the Sunsword Manor. He, along with most of his crew, are arrested and sent to the [[Silvermine Mountains]]. It is unknown if he was in the Silvermine Mountains when they collapsed after the [[The Ageless One]] was awoken.

*Continuing on with [[Coestar|Coe's]] theme of words in foreign languages, merci means thank you in french.
*[[Kinney Boots]] and Captain Merci are implied to have a sexual affair. Kinney's coat was in Merci's room while he was "sleeping" for 13 days. This is further suggested by Kinney's enthusiasm over being Buckle Buddies with Merci.

==History==
Many Years ago, [[Virgo Sunsword]] did battle with the [[Cult of Bones]] and their deity, The Ageless One. Although the Cultists, being [[Skeleton#|Skeletons]], were immune to most types of damage, Virgo found a way to defeat and kill off many of them. He also found a way to defeat the Ageless One, and force him into a prolonged slumber. Where the Ageless One slept, Virgo ordered the construction of Mountains on top of it. These mountains became the [[Silvermine Mountains]].

K4 sat on top of a large lilly pad, completely nude except for his hair. He's getting his back rubbed by a giant monkey fish. K4 comments on how pleasurable it feels to have his back rubbed. This confirms that [[Roamin's Band of Thieves]] predates [[The Many Gobos of Pat]]

In [[Sunswords]], [[Jakelad]] is seen working on the song "Fuck the Kobolds", this confirms that Sunswords predates [[The Jewel of the Dingo Isles]] and also more obviously Jakelad is alive, and since he dies in The Jewel of the Dingo Isles, Sunswords must be before it.

In [[Sunswords]] Phineas is yet to join Theta Squad and becomes a badass Cabalist. He is still in training and know no Cabalist skills. In [[Porc Hunters]] Phineas has become all of this and joined Theta Squad. This proves that Sunswords predates Porc Hunters. The time between the two campaigns is likely only a few months or years as Phineas is a prepubescent child in both and in Sunswords he has already been referred to as a young adult so I likely around 10 to 12 in human years.

Although Unforgotten Realms Live is about fun and role play, it needs to make money to stay afloat. The way this is done is by making supporter events that the twitch chat can donate money to activate. Originally, in [[The Nuren Campaign]] there were no supporter events, but that was before UR Live became a weekly event. When supporter events first came in, in [[Roamin's Band of Thieves]] there were only events that aided the enemy, but the community wanted to be able to help the heroes as well, so in [[Porc Hunters]] Rob added events that aid the heroes.

Almost every combat has three supporter events (the [[Blood_Snake#Cobra_King|Cobra King]] combat only had two), some of which aid the heroes and others that aid the enemy. Chat can see the effect that each supporter event will have on the game, but the heroes can't even see that there are any supporter events. As of Porc Hunters, after each combat, along with the one treasure that the leader of the party gets, chat can activate supporter events to get the heroes up to three more treasures. In Porc Hunters Rob noted that the treasure supporter events are too expensive, but justified why when he said he didn't want the heroes getting four free treasures after every combat. Finally there are supporter events that activate a combat, such as the [[Gemling#Gemlord|Gemlord]] combat in Roamin's Band of Thieves.

Each supporter event, aside from treasure giving supporter events, has its own short animation animated by [[Nick Graves]] which plays upon activation.

Elmar is an easy-going and friendly Elf. He gets along with everyone in the team and was the only squadron member to obey the captains orders in the beginning. His laissez-faire attitude does have some drawbacks however, as he didn't seem to care about the Fire Spirit he accidentally created, the forest it burned down or the Elf he decapitated trying to defeat it.

He is loyal to his team mates, respects his captain's decisions and is not afraid of taking command, which caused him to be promoted to Corporal and eventually to succeed Ca-Rell as Captain of the Theta Squad.

Just like most Elves, he hates [[Goblins]] and laughed so hard at one's misfortune he promptly fell of a bridge. This did cause some issues, since Elmar has severe hydrophobia and cannot swim.

He holds much respect towards her for being the captain and always obeys her commands. This behaviour caused him to be the first member of the Theta Squad to be promoted, and was later promoted again by her hand. They share a bond of mutual trust, which at the end caused him to be chosen by her as her replacement as Captain of the Theta Squad.

Due to his easy-going attitude, he meshes well with DeNada. They often share some drinks together at the bar and consider themselves best buds. At the and of the mission, they went off together as part of the new Theta Squad with both of them sharing the feeling that this new team was going to be fun.

Elmar and Templeton never really had any extensive relationship, viewing themselves mostly as co-workers. This neutral relationship remained until the end, although Elmar did his best to avoid much contact with Templeton.

Elmar does care for the youth, as he was relieved that he didn't accidentally set him on fire with the [[Fire Spirit]], but never had any real relationship with him until the end. Now Phineas is his underling as part of the new Theta Squad.

Elmar feeled responsible for creating this Elemental, and thus took it upon him to defeat it. He did have some attachment to his creation however, since it took him a while to decide that killing the Elemental was the right thing to do.
