==Characteristics==
===Appearance===
Karl Landers is a male Kobold with stringy hair, mutton chops and a mustache. Karl wears a scarf around his neck that is tucked into his belt. His most notable feature is the Gnomish Scopeye he had surgically implanted into his eye. This artificial eye was destroyed during a fight with a Whelpling.

===Personality===
Karl is a very greedy Kobold, often looking for ways to get more gold and loot. This causes him to make bets in inappropriate times to make any extra money. He will pay his debts however, as he has been seen to loose bets and pay up if he has the coin. He does appear to be a loyal leader, however, as he did not treat the Porcs under his command poorly.

===Relationships===
With the Guild of Explorers, he is know through out as the "Dead Eye Shot," being introduced as such by [[Nikers Fontain]] and being recognized by former member [[Papi Pombo]] as being just as capable. Even [[Denzik]] shows respect for him, and even indulges in his gambling addiction. With the Grand Paladins, Karl attempts to get the most money out of them for their services, which lead to some distrust between him and [[Sonya]], but it was quickly dampened due to Karl's abilities. Karl shows a fondness with [[Bromas]], due to their shared Koboldness, however he still attempts to lie to him about the "Living" Beenu.

This gemling was found in the abandoned homestead of Karl Landers. Karl picked up the Gemling and took it on his travels as a member of the Guild of Explorers. During this time, Karl would feed it treasure, causing it to grow, however Karl would then eat off a chunk of the Gemling, reverting it back to its original size.

It was revealed when [[Bromas]] activated his enhanced healing magic, Greater Lay on Hands, that Karl's Gemling grows muscular legs instead of hands.
==History==
===Background===
Karl was born to two Kobolds who tried very hard to have a child. Karl's father, a member of the Guild of Explorers, wanted Karl to follow in his footsteps and raised him to be a member of the Guild. Karl, however, wanted to be his own man and soon left home. He began an addiction to gambling and became enthralled in the lifestyle of gambling on nearly anything, preferably underground Pot Puppy fight rings. However, Karl's life soon grew weary on him, leading him to want to go home. However once he returned to his homestead he found only a Gemling left behind. Karl took the Gemling and joined the Guild of Explorers to sell off the loot to pay off his debts and continue gambling.

In one of his lootings, Karl found a Gnomish Scopeye. Karl took the treasure and attempted to pawn it off, however the owner of the Pawn Shop informed Karl of the benefits of the eye. Karl then took the eye and payed for professional surgery to replace his eye.

===[[Unexpected Discovery]]===
Nikers Fontain, Denzik and Karl meet with Raynel at the beginning of a Beenu dungeon and begin to talk about the various artifacts that the Grand Paladin Order would like. Then Sonya joined up with her Paladin mate, and they being talking about navigating the dungeon as they wait for the last member of the Paladin Order to join them. As the group begins to enter the dungeon, their last member, Alpha Wolf Bromas joins the group, leading to an awkward reunion between Bromas and Raynel. The party of adventurers then decide to begin their exploration, finding a group of Porcs just outside of the Beenu Dungeon.

These Porcs are carrying out giant Beenu Statues and appear to be another group of Adventurers. Karl recognizes the group as former Guild members ran by the Porc Papi Pombo. While the adventurers discuss their plans, Sonya's robotic arm, Larry, decides to show his stuff and fires their pistol. Now Pombo's group of Porcs begin to surround the Adventurers forcing them into a fight. Karl takes the the ambushing Porcs all out of the fight by himself, leaving the rest of the group to take out the remaining members of Pombo's bandits. Seeing the carnage and strength of Karl, Pombo surrenders and offers himself and his remaining porcs to becoming the "Porcs of Karl." Now reinforced with the band of Warrior, Swashbuckler and Berserker Porcs, Bromas explains that the Beenu Machines can be damaged by citrus acid, and enter the Beenu Dungeon.

The adventurers begin to investigate the first room of the dungeon, there they find a wall of text written in ancient Beenu. They have Sonya's Elemech Arm, known as Larry, translate the text, only for it to be revealed to be a map. After an argument between Sonya and Karl breaks out, the skeletons laying around the dungeon begin to reanimated. Bromas attempts to be diplomatic in an effort to find the living Beenu that Karl had promised, but to no effect, leaving the group to attack the skeletons. After quickly dispatching them, the group descends further into the dungeon, agreeing that the diplomacy is the incorrect method of dealing with this dungeon. They come across a long dark hallway that was covered in arrow traps. They attempt to ease their way through it, with Sonya leading with her shield. However, the arrows begin to fire, splitting off Sonya and the group. The group decides to dash through and take the arrows as they run through. The group survives the trap, with Papi Pombo triggering his Sun Wolf Wolverine transformation.

Now onto the next challenge, the group finds a a large hole blocking the path. Raynel attempts to block the hole, but gets sprayed in the face by a Funk named Isabella, causing Raynel to be blind. Now with Raynel blind, the group begins to figure out how to cross the hole. They decide to put the blinded Raynel on the back of the Sun Wolf Papi and have him jump across the pit successfully. Sonya then decides that its time to look to the Light and asks Bromas to wish for Lascene to teleport the whole group across. Impressed, he does so, crossing the cavern.

The group enters the next room, which is a room that resembles the one from the Zarlin Catacombs. Bromas explains the situation that the Elemech Robots transforms the body and mind of anyone who touches them. The group decides to have the easily-convinced Porcs enter the room and defeat the robots. The Porcs enter room and begin a heated battle with the Robots, nearly destroying them completely, and returning to their Kobold Master with most of the Porcs transformed into something else.

Raynel, informed by the Funk, begins trying to leading the group out to the next room. This causes the adventurers to run after Raynel, triggering a trap, releasing a large boulder chasing the group. The adventurers outrun the boulder and duck in a nearby hole as it passes into a cavern. A few moments pass and another boulder rolls by and so on for a few minutes until the rest of the group catches up.

After a minute to catch their breath, a Beenu Warmachine breaks the bridge ahead of them and begins a fight against the group. The group gives it all they have, destroying one of the large mechanical hands and the Warmachine transforms into a smaller mechanical bird that began playing music. The mechanical bird builds a new bridge and floats neutrally in the air.

The bird begins to speak of the Dragons and death, however the adventurers don't understand the meaning, and continues on as the mech shuts down. The adventurers come across a large treasure room and began to loot it. Papi Pombo begins passing out Porco Sangrio and hosting a celebration for a successful campaign. Papi gathers the adventurers around and begin telling campfire stories, and the group began swapping their stories. However during the story telling, a mysterious person approaches the group, with their face hidden and appeared to be a floating robe. Before they could confront this mysterious person, Karl interjects and began telling his story. At the end of the story, the mysterious person reveals that it is a Beenu. The Beenu explains that they were the caretakers of the realm, building technology long before the Birth of Magic. However, as they progressed as a culture, they killed the dragon Phanto, causing the Birth of Magic. The Beenu Apparition then grants the adventurer three questions.
After fixing Raynel's sight and answering the questions, the Apparition disappears and tells the group that a Divine exists behind a large wall in the cavern.

The group begins attempting to break through the wall. They break through and enter in a room that looks infused with with lava, but is not hot to touch. They enter the room but does not see anything until they look up. Just then a Whelpling falls from the ceiling and lands. During which, the Sigil of Flame awakens inside of Denzik, letting him lead the charge against the Whelpling and the group attacks the giant flaming lizard. As the battle continues on, a curious sword falls from the ceiling and cuts a large stone in half, embedding itself. Half of the group attacks the Whelpling while the other half attempts to retrieve the sword. Bromas finally draws the sword, however it does no good, as the Whelpling had rendered the altered Porcs of Karl beaten and bruised. Bromas orders for a retreat and the Adventurers follow suit, running towards the exit as the Whelpling hunts them down. The group finds the exit, now only having two Porcs, Sonya, Raynel, Denzik and Karl exiting the Dungeon. Bromas fell against the Whelpling.

Karl survived the attack on the Whelpling, exiting the cave with as much loot as he could carry.

==Trivia==
*Karl was the only player character to not get a legendary during the campaign, even despite him having double the odds with much higher chances.

===Appearance===
While as a Gnome, Bromas is an elderly male with a short, white beard, blue eyes and a large scar covering his right eye. He also has notably large cheeks. He wears a blue plate helmet with gold accents, silver plate armor with gold shoulder pads, greaves and lower calf bracings. Under that, Bromas wears a short sleeve, blue shirt, blue pants and black boots. Bromas also has a brown belt that has a sack for his [[Treasures#Crystal Catalyst|Crystal Catalyst]], a clip for his Fist in a Box and holds his Headhunter Axe.

As a Kobold, Bromas has light grey, short rock-like fur, blue eyes and two fangs. He wears a blue eye patch over his scarred right eye, a blue scarf, and a brown belt that holds his Fist in a Box. The only visible armor he wears now is the gold greaves and lower calf bracings.

===Personality===
Bromas is very much a leader in his Gnome form, since first entering the catacombs he sets up what sites and attractions the tour will consist of and sets down rules of do's and don't's. Very strict about keeping both himself and the group safe, he is one of the first to charge into the initial battle against the [[Robots]] of the campaign and does quite well in regards to how he hits, thought not doing much damage. He is also revealed to have a bit of a strategic side on him as is expected of someone that has supposedly seen much battle as he is credited to, and he shows this during his diplomacy with [[Franky Rosebud]] despite being nailed with an apple. He is very much an alfa and explains quite a bit to the name that [[Raynel]], his squire, calls him, 'Alpha Wolf'.

Bromas' Kobold form appears a lot more passive, the battle with the 3 big [[Robots]] causing his transformation to have somewhat humbled him to be a bit more passive and actually allowing [[Fantastico Fabioso]] to slightly take charge after the minor encounter where the cursed [[Treasures#Muddy Billhook|Muddy Billhook]] Bromas found influences him and Fantastico quickly puts down his small army. Bromas does not even argue or fight with [[Sergio Fabioso]] when he receives the purification stone that would change his former back when offered and instead stands in silence. Bromas' Kobold form has Bromas very much losing his position as an alpha which is quite ironic seeing as how his Kobold form (similar in appearance to a wolf) makes him even truer to his nickname 'Alpha Wolf'.

===Relationships===
The story of No-eyes and Reynel is a sad one. In the beginning he is shown to listen to her, gets his nickname from her, and even gets her to safety against the 3 Elemechs (albeit by punching her with a fist in the box), though it was after he was changed into a kobold and she revealed over the radio that she loved him that he truly realized he loved her and was heartbroken when she no longer loved him as a kobold with no nose.

Sergio and No-Eyes didn't really talk though he was very uncomfortable with his and Fantastico's sex-sessions, often advising Morgana to close her eyes. He seemed especially peeved Surgio used the Purification stone on himself solely to get "The Passion" back.

No-Eyes was really the only one who even cared that Morgana died even after he found out she had paid up front.

No-Eyes and Fantastico did not get along, especially after Fantastico took over the role of "Alpha Wolf".

===Background===
Not much is known about Bromas prior to the tour of the Zarlin Catacombs, but it is known that he attended a school for Paladins where he learned a physical form of Lay on Hands. After that, Bromas became a very capable Paladin, gaining the affection and admiration of a [[Raynel|young squire]] and gaining the position of '''Alpha Wolf'''. He had also lost his eye at an unknown point in time.

Before the tour, Bromas and his compatriots, [[Raynel]], [[Sergio Fabioso]] and [[Fantastico Fabioso]] were hired to be the bodyguards and tour guides of the wealthy [[Morgana Marie]] as she descends into the Zarlin Catacombs.
===[[The Zarlin Catacombs]]===
Bromas, Raynel, Sergio and Fantastico lead Morgana Marie down beneath the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry to the Zarlin Catacombs, where they traveled through the initial part of the catacombs, avoiding the latent traps laid there by the original inhabitants. There they came across some aggressive [[Robots]], much to the surprise to the Paladin Gnomes, as they attacked the group. During the fight, a large purple-tented Robot used some alteration magic to change a skull that Bromas was holding into a compass. Through a lot of trial and error, the group manages to wear the Robots down enough to cause them burst into a flurry of bolts and oil. After dealing with the hostile Robots, the group searched the area and found a large crack in the room that led to a treasure room. Filling their bags with loot, the group continued onward only for Bromas to be hit in the face with a rotten apple.

At this point in the Catacombs, they met the thrower, a Berserker named [[Franky Rosebud]]. After some heated discussion about why Franky threw the rotten apple, originally because Franky thought Bromas was a robot, but this story was changed, the group moved on to trying the apples. After Morgana put a large amount of them into her purse, she preformed a magic trick causing two nearby skeletons come back to life as Soul Puppets, these were the souls of the Bennu. However, these souls having been dead for so long that the Bennu history was mostly unknown to the world, they panicked and caused consfusion to Morgana. This lead to her simply dispelling the skeletons, killing them again. During this time, an Elemech was attacking Franky, which has now captured the group's attention. Sergio then attempted to shoot the Elemech, but fatally missed, killing Franky immediatly.

This lead to a simple conversation with the Elemech, who, unlike the robots they fought before, was sentient and could speak. However the civil conversation lead to a hostile fight as Sergio and Fantastico attempted to have sexual relations with him. The fight was shortlived as the group quickly figured out his tactics, causing him to surrender. The group stopped their attack, but the Elemech took the opportunity to throw a Gemling, distracting them, and run out of the area. Morgana recovered the little Gemling, whom she named Prism, and carried him in her breasts. The group then discussed their next plan of action, however Fantasico decided to attempt to [[Rouge#Infatuation|Infatuate]] the group, but was only successful in temporarily infatuate Raynel and Morgana, but had Bromas under his spell for a long time. The group then went into the next room, which locked behind them, leaving Raynel trapped outside. And then three large Robots awoke and began attacking.

These three large Robots had the ability to alter the abilities, race and gender of their targets, and managed to alter Bromas from a [[Gnome]] into a [[Kobold]] and changed Bromas' [[Paladin#Lay on Hands|Lay on Hands]] into [[Sorcerer#Blink|Blink]] before they where destroyed. With most of the group altered and still trapped in the room, they attempted to exit, but where met with an impassable door. Then a large hole in the ceiling opened up and began pouring copious amounts of water along with Gorgons. It was then that a secret curse that was applied to a [[Treasures#Muddy Billhook|Muddy Billhook]] that Bromas held awoke, causing Bromas to believe himself to be the treasure hungry leader of the Gorgons, and breaking his infatuation spell. However. Fantastico made quick work of this development, activating his Hurricane Bracers, killing all of the Gorgons, breaking Bromas of his curse and sealing the water hole, but not before a special Glamour Shark appeared.

This Glamour Shark, known as Glamourous, appeared significantly small and before the changed group. Glamourous went on to talk to the group about killing his companion, but when the conversation was interrupted by [[Raynel]], who communicated with the group through an ancient walkie-talkie device, Glamourous revealed himself to be a divine being and floated to the top of the room and passed through the wall. After sending Raynel back to the surface to find help, the group exited through another door in the room, only to find the a large canyon between them and the opposite side of the catacombs. They noticed Raynel off in the distance, but after an awkward conversation between Fantastico and Raynel trying to hide Bromas' new form, a large [[Bennu War Machine]] erupted out of the canyon. The fight began abruptly, however it seemed that the group could not win, that is until Morgana threw her rotten apples at the machine, causing its shield functions to cease. Now with an upperhand, the group destroyed the War Machine and Sergio found a mystical stone that returned himself to normal, leaving Bromas to stay a Kobold. Upset with his new form, Bromas was left worried about his job.

Joaquim is a relatively shorter Elf who has long hair and a Van Dyke beard. He wears a beanie cap loosely over his head and a suit.

===Personality===
Joaquim is a very laid back Elf, being very calm and collected initially. However after going through several flights of floors Joaquim became very exhausted, often telling the group that he was going to leave, much to their dismay. It was even furthered when he learned of the death of [[Reesi Gandolin|Reesi]], becoming depressed and angry towards [[Rhedmun Kriel|Rhed]].

Joaquim also has shown to have some underlying issues about his nature of being adopted. He has even considered out loud that he might be a Barringster as he never met his own family.

===Relationships===
Joaquim holds his strongest relationships with his band members [[Buford Flannigan]] and [[Reesi Gandolin]]. He regards Buford like a brother, putting him and the band before anything and willing to go with Buford on most decisions. He is oblivious to the secret relationship between Buford and Reesi, however, and was visibly confused when he was apart of the bonding. With Reesi, he appears to still care about her deeply, being extremely depressed following her death. When Joaquim was suffering under the effects of King Leomaris' floor of the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry, he forgot that Reesi broke up with him, initially believing her to be his wife, but was talked out of it by the group.

Joaquim seems to be indifferent to [[Trandon Barringster]]'s actions and antics, often simply going with them and believing Trandon's excessive lies. However, Joaquim feels that Rhedmun has wronged him dealing by keeping the "truth" of Reesi's death by Dragon ingestion away from him.

===Background===
Joaquim Flannigan was orphaned in the city of Okagnoma and raised by Okagnoma Gnomes who taught him to be very intelligent. Joaquim soon left the city of Okagnoma and met with [[Buford Flannigan]], and together they formed the band known as Brothers Flannigan and traveled from bar to bar, tavern to tavern, expanding their music. However, they chose to initially do so non-profit, living off of several other people and other free room and board. Eventually they landed in a college where they met [[Trandon Barringster]], [[Rhedmun Kriel]] and their future bandmate [[Reesi Gandolin]]. Joaquim and Reesi eventually date for a time, but parted ways on good terms.

Joaquim joined his bandmates and former classmates on a journey to Climb the tower of Ultimate Wizardry with the initial goal to gain a Battle of the Bards VIP Entry form, but also to look for a new place to crash for a while.
===[[The Tower of Ultimate Wizardry: Chapter One]]===
The group arrived at the gate to the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry, waiting on Reesi Gandolin to join up with them. Reesi joined up with them, which caused some slight shock to Yokeen, who did not know she was coming.

After some talking about why they wanted to climb the tower, they begin their adventure into the Tower. They enter the lobby and met with a sales man known as JJ who tried to dissuade the group from climbing the Tower, but was unsuccessful. JJ then gives each of the group an enchanted item that shows a single hidden trap on a single floor. However, Trandon wanted to steel some of the decorative items, which caused a lot of conflict as Trandon kept sending Rhed after them. However after finding the them to be just useless items, the begin to ascend to the first floor.

Unfortunately, Joaquim did not enter the portal, instead went back to grab some forgotten supplies. Right before he entered the portal we was renderd unconious by Rhed's abilities. This caused him to fight though the first two floors by himself. Joaquim managed to catch up with the rest of the group. After Trandon lies to Joaquim and says that Reesi abandoned the group, Joaquim then successfully jumps over the rocks and ascends to the next floor. Rhedmun follows Joaquim and goes through the portal. Trandon is then caught off guard by the appearance of four Pot Puppies, who then carries them to the portal. However, Trandon's insanity kicks in causing him to want to toss Buford out of the portal and towards the lava. Buford catches himself on some nearby rocks, but easily jumps through the portal along with Trandon, to the third floor.

On the Third floor, the group finds themselves in a golden room with two Clockodiles. There they confront a lion statue called the Lionia Statue, who tells the group that the if they answer five questions, he will let them pass. The group answers the questions, but the lion statue simple disappears, leaving the group to try and figure out the way to open the door. They assume that the nearby Clockodiles have the key to the door inside of them, so the group begins to fight one of them. After not finding any key inside of the Clockodile, room begins to shake and seven levers appear on the wall, each with a difference animal or monster face. Buford very quickly pulled third lever, causing a loud growl but nothing else happened. Trandon then has one of his pot puppies, Anson, to choose. This time it was the fourth lever which had nothing but a wolf howl. After the levers harbor no answer, the group defeats the other Clockodile to find no key again. Joaquim, Buford and Trandon decided to descend to the Lobby to find the answer, leaving Rhed on floor 3. Once the guys return to the lobby, JJ reveals that the key was hidden in Trandon's pocket the entire time, under his sunglasses. After working through the floors once more, the group uses the key and ascends to Floor 4.

The fourth floor is a beautiful room filled with books and colored pencils and clouds. There Trandon founds that he is missing a pot puppy (Daphne), and descends down to find her, while the rest of the group continues to examine the room. Trandon returned back to the room, carrying a Dragon Egg stolen from Vlaurunga, to which Trandon used to solidify his lie about Reesi dying to a Dragon. This caused tension in the group between Joaquim and Rhed. After some small bonding, Trandon begins to quickly figure out the puzzle: simply draw a door. A portal opens up where Trandon drew, and the guys ascended to the fifth floor.

The fifth floor houses a very empty room. Joaquim first enters alone, finding what appears to be Reesi, they are then followed by the rest of the group. The "Reesi" walks in front of Rhed and turns into a Gnome Pirate. The thing turns into a Pot Puppy, and by the order of the rest of the group, Beauford attempts to shoot it. The thing turns into a new variant of Reesi. Finding that shooting it wasn't solving the puzzle, the group believes that its time for Joaquim and Buford have to move on from the lost of their bandmate. However this is not the answer, and the Reesi transforms again this time based on Trandon's mind, turning into a giant Dragon. Finding that it transforms into anything they think about, they begin to think about a portal to the next floor, solving the answer to the floor.

The group appears in the sixth floor into a room that they cannot see at all. Each member of the group begins trying to figure out what is happening while their vision is obscured. Trandon attempts to summon Buford close to the rest of the group activating some nearby traps, causing his Blunderbuss to be chopped, sawing it off. Eventually Rhed finds a switch and cuts on the lights, showing the room filled to the brim of traps. The group begins to disable the traps and save some more Pot Puppies in order to solve the puzzle. Eventually all of the traps turned themselves off, and the group finds buttons in the corners of the room. Finding the buttons, the group presses them simultaneously, opening the portal to the next floor.

Now on the seventh floor, the group are in seats around a large round table, with a mysterious elf. This elf was King Leomaris and began offering the group a way to better their lives and told them that they were at the top of the tower. They notice as they get up from the chairs they feel extremely happy and free, up until they sit back down into the chairs. Eventually the group upsets the King, causing him to reveal that this was a projection and open up a red portal to unknown destination. After agreeing to leaving Joaquim to listen to the King's stories, he creates a portal to the next floor. Trandon then plans to teleport Joaquim secretly via Mark of Summoning, however it fails. However the King turns to ash for an unknown reason, and the two flee to the next floor.

On Floor 8, they find a room covered in green pipes coating the entire room. However, Joaquim appears to be very different, with now much older with heavy wrinkles and white hair. This causes the group to notice that they all appear older due to the effects of the last floor. Joaquim, suffering from the effects more so than the others, passes out in the middle of the floor. They then decide that maybe putting Joaquim down a pipe will fix him, however this does not prove to be fruitful yet, and the continue to solve the puzzle to the next room. After investigating the pipes, they find that there is nothing that is different. Eventually they hear Joaquim, now back to his senses, screaming up through the pipes, appearing in the sixth floor which was reset. The group then discusses on how to get Joaquim back to the current floor, but after several minutes of conversation, they decided to use Rhed's Pot Puppies as way points for Joaquim, by dropping parts of the deceased puppies. However, they find out that all of the pipes are connected, save for the one pipe Joaquim fell down, which had an alternative color. After a heavy argument between Rhed and Trandon, Rhed decided to jump down pipe, which caused him to be multiplied into three versions of himself. Eventually Yokeem gets teleported back to Floor 8, convinces the group to go back down the pipe to floor six. Now back down, they have to solve the floor and save three new Pot Puppies. After solving that floor again, then ascend to the seventh floor, they quickly solve it, and go to the next floor again, to Floor Eight. They then pull a hail mary and tap their shoes, going UP a floor this time.

Now on floor 9, they are met with a chest board and are talk to by the Great Pupper Douglas Oggo, or Pot Pupper Doggo for short. Doggo then explains that he designed his floor as a chest game using pot puppies as pieces. The group survives the fight with eight Pot Puppies left, having completely defeated the Great Pupper Doggo, and enter the portal to the tenth floor.

The tenth floor, a floor filled with a multicolored tiled floor and the wizard Coober. There Coober reveals that he is lost in the tower, and asks to join the group. The guys agree, and Coober says he has a quiz for them, to which Buford very much signs the group up. At the end of the quiz, Trandon had 1 points, Buford had 1 points, and Rhed had 3 points. This gave Rhed the first place price of a Legendary item, Trandon rolled for second place and a new Tambok Ticket, and Buford with third place. After Coober asked for a battle, Buford initiated Charm to by pass Coober and ascended to the Eleventh Floor.

On the Eleventh Floor, there is a rest area. This is where the group decided to rest after a deceptively long time.

** Joaquim is the second character of Coe's to be played by Rob, the first being [[Captain Merci]].
* Coe's "Legendary Streak" that started in [[Okagnoma Guild Hall]] was broken with Joaquim, however this was also the first character to which Coe did not roll for his own Legendary, so it may be argued that the streak can still continue.
* ''Joaquim'' is the Portuguese form of the Hebrew Bibical name ''Jehoiachin'', which means "established by Yahweh." ''Flannigan'' is an Irish surname that comes from ''O'Flannagain'', meaning "Son of Flann," or rather "Son of Reddish/Ruddy".
**However, the etymology does not appear to be the bases for Joaquim Flannigan's character. Rather, the Flannigan surname was created by Coe and Justin during one of Coe's StreamADay for their in game names on Steam.

At the end of The Sunswords, Goggles was released because of his contribution to the combat with the [[Porc|Porcs]] that [[Jakelad]] summoned. Goggles also gave his [[Ring of Fire]] to [[Bob]] and, in return, Bob gave one of his Rings of Fire to Goggles as a sign of friendship.

Greeky is a goblin merchant first seen shortly after the group gets past the [[Ytt]] canyon, whilst they were resting in a cave. He and his brother approached [[Bob]], [[Dave]], [[Kallark]] and [[Xavius]], with the intent of selling several [[treasures]], including a [[Tambok Ticket]]. At first, he acts friendly, offering them a discount and trying to talk to Bob, a [[Gnome]], to maintain peace. However, as the Elves lose their patience, the pair decide to use [[Bard#Disguise|Disguise]] to pretend to be Elves and sell their wares. When this fails, Bob leaves, and the Elves disarm Greeky's brother and then kill him. Greeky destroys his Tambok Ticket and tries to run away, but is pulled back by Xavius. As he pleas for his life, the group decide that having an extra prisoner would impress [[Gwyneth]], with Kallark wanting to see him eaten by [[Jakelad]]. He was then thrown in with the other prisoners.

When the group was at the bridge, trying to gain passage from the [[Ogre#The Sunswords|Ogre]], [[Phineas]], mad with power, decides to force Bob, who had objected to killing the goblins, to take Greeky away and kill him. Bob, still against the idea of killing a goblin, decided to release Greeky instead.

The arrow killed Ian and wounded [[Xavius]]. Ian was later buried by [[Xavius]] and [[Rufio]] in a makeshift, four foot grave, only covered over by a boulder. [[Dave]] then paid his respects to Ian and promised him an extra special part in his fan fiction, [[Boyfriend Quest]], before the party moved on.

And while Mormo takes care of them he is shocked at the affection the two children receive from [[Kallark]]. It is thought that he is insane and was sent to prison for going on a crazy murder rampage, but it is unclear as he has no sheet saying why he was arrested. He does show a friendly and likable personality. [[Gunter]] and [[Unter]] show affection for him and said that they wanted to live with him instead of [[Kallark]] and so he adopted them. Rebooc kept to himself for a majority of the campaign. More concerned with repeatedly saying the word Kobold rather than contributing to the lives around him. Nonetheless he is moved by the actions of [[Kallark]] and his adoption of [[Unter]] and [[Gunter]] and helps the party chase off [[Jakelad]]'s Porc army. At the end of [[Sunswords]] Rebooc volunteered to go into the prison wagon and be taken to the [[Silver Mine Mountains]] as a prisoner. After the Silver Mine Mountains Campaign the mountain collapsed causing his current status to be unknown.

Buford is an extremely large elf, towering over the rest of his compatriots, he has a hand removed and replaced with his [[Blunderbuss]], which was damaged slightly and sawed off. He has short hair that is obscured by his hat, and has a long, pencil mustache. Buford wears a wide brim hat, with a leopard pelt strap that has a feather of unknown origin sticking out of it. He wears a collared shirt that is open to reveal his chest hair, but stops at an upside down star button. Over that he wears a vest.

===Personality===
Buford is a very laid back elf, only really concerned with his music and his band. He is shown to be oblivious to things that others would consider insensitive, such as Rhed's social insecurities and Trandon's mole. He is shown to leave his friends once he himself finds away out of a situation, but will help them when he can with his massive size and strength. Through the first ten floors of the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry, Buford has only shown to be content, until his band and his secret affair with [[Reesi Gandolin]] come under distress.

===Relationships===
Buford's strongest relationships are with his bandmembers: [[Joaquim Flannigan]] and [[Reesi Gandolin]]. With Joaquim, he has a bond like a brother, often seen together and is willing to stick his neck out to save Buford no matter what. However, when Joaquim's sanity is called into question due to the effects of a room of the Tower, Buford was quick to regard him as lost as he hindered the success of the Band. With Reesi, Buford had a forbidden love for her, and was equally distraught over her death as Joaquim was. When a snake like shapeshifter turned into Buford's vision of Reesi, she appeared more nude.

Buford would often go along with Trandon's antics and follow his directions to solve a puzzle, no matter how dangerous the actions were or whether or not they could actually be the solution. Buford regarded Rhed as the social odd one, but would defend him occasionally saying he would be useful in the Tower.

==History==
===Background===
Buford Flannigan was a part of a band known as "Brothers Flannigan" along with [[Joaquim Flannigan]] back in their days at college. Together they took the stage name of "Flannigan" and hit various bars and taverns playing whatever gig they could land. They would often play for free and give out labeled Pot Puppies to their fans. They would continue to play for free hoping to invest in their fans, but this caused them to be rather homeless, so they stayed at the college for free room and board while they played.

There they met [[Rhedmun Kriel]], [[Trandon Barringster]], and their future bandmate [[Reesi Gandolin]]. They remained good friends after Buford, Yokeen and Reesi left the college to expand their music, enough so that when Trandon and Rhed asked them to take on the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry, they agreed.

Buford decided that he was going to either live for a time on a floor in the Tower, or simply ask Quintara Lotus for the ultimate song.
===[[The Tower of Ultimate Wizardry: Chapter One]]===
The group arrived at the gate to the Tower of Ultimate Wizardry, waiting on Reesi Gandolin to join up with them. Reesi joined up with them, which caused some slight shock to Yokeen, who did not know she was coming.

After some talking about why they wanted to climb the tower, they begin their adventure into the Tower. They enter the lobby and met with a sales man known as JJ who tried to dissuade the group from climbing the Tower, but was unsuccessful. JJ then gives each of the group an enchanted item that shows a single hidden trap on a single floor. However, Trandon wanted to steel some of the decorative items, which caused a lot of conflict as Trandon kept sending Rhed after them. However after finding the them to be just useless items, the begin to ascend to the first floor.

They appear in the first floor, a stone room that has a single pedestal with a red button in the center and spiked aligned with the walls. Once Trandon and Buford press the button and the walls begin to slowly move. However, Buford begins to panic and hits the button five more times, causing the walls to speed up slightly. Rhed inspected the pedestal, and figured out the secret to the puzzle, however no one listened to him and the rest of the group continued to use brute force to solve the puzzle. While Rhed solves the test by forcing the walls to speed up and immediately retract. The group now climbs to the second floor.

Now on the second floor, they are met with a room filled with lava and a few rocks. JJ then tells the group via telepathy that the room cancels out magic and their goal is to reach the other side of the room to reach the portal. After some heavy discussion, JJ tells the group that he will allow a spell as they seem to be having trouble. The group misinterprets this as multiple spells and Buford teleports himself out of the floor. Reesi, Trandon and Rhedmun realize that they now cannot cast spells, so Reesi attempts to take a leap to another rock, only to fall into lava and get burnt to death. Joaquim managed to catch up with the rest of the group. After Trandon lies to Joaquim and says that Reesi abandoned the group, Joaquim then successfully jumps over the rocks and ascends to the next floor. Rhedmun follows Joaquim and goes through the portal. Trandon is then caught off guard by the appearance of four Pot Puppies, who then carries them to the portal. However, Trandon's insanity kicks in causing him to want to toss Buford out of the portal and towards the lava. Buford catches himself on some nearby rocks, but easily jumps through the portal along with Trandon, to the third floor.

On the Third floor, the group finds themselves in a golden room with two [[Clockodile|Clockodiles]]. There they confront a lion statue called the Lionia Statue, who tells the group that the if they answer five questions, he will let them pass. The group answers the questions, but the lion statue simple disappears, leaving the group to try and figure out the way to open the door. They assume that the nearby Clockodiles have the key to the door inside of them, so the group begins to fight one of them. After not finding any key inside of the Clockodile, room begins to shake and seven levers appear on the wall, each with a difference animal or monster face. Buford very quickly pulled third lever, causing a loud growl but nothing else happened. Trandon then has one of his pot puppies, Anson, to choose. This time it was the fourth lever which had nothing but a wolf howl. After the levers harbor no answer, the group defeats the other Clockodile to find no key again. Joaquim, Buford and Trandon decided to descend to the Lobby to find the answer, leaving Rhed on floor 3. Once the guys return to the lobby, JJ reveals that the key was hidden in Trandon's pocket the entire time, under his sunglasses. After working through the floors once more, the group uses the key and ascends to Floor 4.

The fourth floor is a beautiful room filled with books and colored pencils and clouds. There Trandon founds that he is missing a pot puppy (Daphne), and descends down to find her, while the rest of the group continues to examine the room. Trandon returned back to the room, carrying a Dragon Egg stolen from Vlaurunga, to which Trandon used to solidify his lie about Reesi dying to a Dragon. This caused tension in the group between Joaquim and Rhed. After some small bonding, Trandon begins to quickly figure out the puzzle: simply draw a door. A portal opens up where Trandon drew, and the guys ascended to the fifth floor.

The fifth floor houses a very empty room. Joaquim first enters alone, finding what appears to be Reesi, they are then followed by the rest of the group. The "Reesi" walks in front of Rhed and turns into a Gnome Pirate. The thing turns into a Pot Puppy, and by the order of the rest of the group, Buford attempts to shoot it. The thing turns into a new variant of Reesi. Finding that shooting it wasn't solving the puzzle, the group believes that its time for Joaquim and Buford have to move on from the lost of their bandmate. However this is not the answer, and the Reesi transforms again this time based on Trandon's mind, turning into a giant Dragon. Finding that it transforms into anything they think about, they begin to think about a portal to the next floor, solving the answer to the floor.

The group appears in the sixth floor into a room that they cannot see at all. Each member of the group begins trying to figure out what is happening while their vision is obscured. Trandon attempts to summon Buford close to the rest of the group activating some nearby traps, causing his Blunderbuss to be chopped, sawing it off. Eventually Rhed finds a switch and cuts on the lights, showing the room filled to the brim of traps. The group begins to disable the traps and save some more Pot Puppies in order to solve the puzzle. Eventually all of the traps turned themselves off, and the group finds buttons in the corners of the room. Finding the buttons, the group presses them simultaneously, opening the portal to the next floor.

Now on the seventh floor, the group are in seats around a large round table, with a mysterious elf. This elf was King Leomaris and began offering the group a way to better their lives and told them that they were at the top of the tower. They notice as they get up from the chairs they feel extremely happy and free, up until they sit back down into the chairs. Eventually the group upsets the King, causing him to reveal that this was a projection and open up a red portal to unknown destination. After agreeing to leaving Joaquim to listen to the King's stories, he creates a portal to the next floor. Trandon then plans to teleport Joaquim secretly via Mark of Summoning, however it fails. However the King turns to ash for an unknown reason, and the two flee to the next floor.

On Floor 8, they find a room covered in green pipes coating the entire room. However, Joaquim appears to be very different, with now much older with heavy wrinkles and white hair. This causes the group to notice that they all appear older due to the effects of the last floor. Joaquim, suffering from the effects more so than the others, passes out in the middle of the floor. They then decide that maybe putting Joaquim down a pipe will fix him, however this does not prove to be fruitful yet, and the continue to solve the puzzle to the next room. After investigating the pipes, they find that there is nothing that is different. Eventually they hear Joaquim, now back to his senses, screaming up through the pipes, appearing in the sixth floor which was reset. The group then discusses on how to get Joaquim back to the current floor, but after several minutes of conversation, they decided to use Rhed's Pot Puppies as way points for Joaquim, by dropping parts of the deceased puppies. However, they find out that all of the pipes are connected, save for the one pipe Joaquim fell down, which had an alternative color. After a heavy argument between Rhed and Trandon, Rhed decided to jump down pipe, which caused him to be multiplied into three versions of himself. Eventually Yokeem gets teleported back to Floor 8, convinces the group to go back down the pipe to floor six. Now back down, they have to solve the floor and save three new Pot Puppies. After solving that floor again, then ascend to the seventh floor, they quickly solve it, and go to the next floor again, to Floor Eight. They then pull a hail mary and tap their shoes, going UP a floor this time.

Now on floor 9, they are met with a chest board and are talk to by the Great Pupper Douglas Oggo, or Pot Pupper Doggo for short. Doggo then explains that he designed his floor as a chest game using pot puppies as pieces. The group survives the fight with eight Pot Puppies left, having completely defeated the Great Pupper Doggo, and enter the portal to the tenth floor.

The tenth floor, a floor filled with a multicolored tiled floor and the wizard Coober. There Coober reveals that he is lost in the tower, and asks to join the group. The guys agree, and Coober says he has a quiz for them, to which Buford very much signs the group up. At the end of the quiz, Trandon had 1 points, Buford had 1 points, and Rhed had 3 points. This gave Rhed the first place price of a Legendary item, Trandon rolled for second place and a new Tambok Ticket, and Buford with third place. After Coober asked for a battle, Buford initiated Charm to by pass Coober and ascended to the Eleventh Floor.

On the Eleventh Floor, there is a rest area. This is where the group decided to rest after a deceptively long time.

* ''Buford'' comes form the French word ''bouffard'', meaning "puffing and blowing" ''Flannigan'' is an Irish surname that comes from ''O'Flannagain'', meaning "Son of Flann," or rather "Son of Reddish/Ruddy".
**The etymology may not play into Buford's character, but it could be a reference to his role as a bard. The Flannigan surname, however, was created by Coe and Justin during one of Coe's StreamADay for their in game names on Steam.

The group misinterprets this as multiple spells and Buford teleports himself out of the floor. Reesi, Trandon and Rhedmun realize that they now cannot cast spells, so Reesi attempts to take a leap to another rock, only to fall into lava and get burnt to death. Joaquim managed to catch up with the rest of the group. After Trandon lies to Joaquim and says that Reesi abandoned the group, Joaquim then successfully jumps over the rocks and ascends to the next floor. Rhedmun follows Joaquim and goes through the portal. Trandon is then caught off guard by the appearance of four Pot Puppies, who then carries them to the portal. However, Trandon's insanity kicks in causing him to want to toss Buford out of the portal and towards the lava. Buford catches himself on some nearby rocks, but easily jumps through the portal along with Trandon, to the third floor.

On the Third floor, the group finds themselves in a golden room with two [[Clockodile|Clockodiles]]. There they confront a lion statue called the Lionia Statue, who tells the group that the if they answer five questions, he will let them pass. The group answers the questions, but the lion statue simple disappears, leaving the group to try and figure out the way to open the door. They assume that the nearby Clockodiles have the key to the door inside of them, so the group begins to fight one of them. After not finding any key inside of the Clockodile, room begins to shake and seven levers appear on the wall, each with a difference animal or monster face. Buford very quickly pulled third lever, causing a loud growl but nothing else happened. Trandon then has one of his pot puppies, Anson, to choose. This time it was the fourth lever which had nothing but a wolf howl. After the levers harbor no answer, the group defeats the other Clockodile to find no key again. Joaquim, Buford and Trandon decided to descend to the Lobby to find the answer, leaving Rhed on floor 3. Once the guys return to the lobby, JJ reveals that the key was hidden in Trandon's pocket the entire time, under his sunglasses. After working through the floors once more, the group uses the key and ascends to Floor 4.

The fourth floor is a beautiful room filled with books and colored pencils and clouds. There Trandon founds that he is missing a pot puppy (Daphne), and descends down to find her, while the rest of the group continues to examine the room. Trandon returned back to the room, carrying a Dragon Egg stolen from Vlaurunga, to which Trandon used to solidify his lie about Reesi dying to a Dragon. This caused tension in the group between Joaquim and Rhed. After some small bonding, Trandon begins to quickly figure out the puzzle: simply draw a door. A portal opens up where Trandon drew, and the guys ascended to the fifth floor.

The fifth floor houses a very empty room. Joaquim first enters alone, finding what appears to be Reesi, they are then followed by the rest of the group. The "Reesi" walks in front of Rhed and turns into a Gnome Pirate. The thing turns into a Pot Puppy, and by the order of the rest of the group, Buford attempts to shoot it. The thing turns into a new variant of Reesi. Finding that shooting it wasn't solving the puzzle, the group believes that its time for Joaquim and Buford have to move on from the lost of their bandmate. However this is not the answer, and the Reesi transforms again this time based on Trandon's mind, turning into a giant Dragon. Finding that it transforms into anything they think about, they begin to think about a portal to the next floor, solving the answer to the floor.

The group appears in the sixth floor into a room that they cannot see at all. Each member of the group begins trying to figure out what is happening while their vision is obscured. Trandon attempts to summon Buford close to the rest of the group activating some nearby traps, causing his Blunderbuss to be chopped, sawing it off. Eventually Rhed finds a switch and cuts on the lights, showing the room filled to the brim of traps. The group begins to disable the traps and save some more Pot Puppies in order to solve the puzzle. Eventually all of the traps turned themselves off, and the group finds buttons in the corners of the room. Finding the buttons, the group presses them simultaneously, opening the portal to the next floor.

Now on the seventh floor, the group are in seats around a large round table, with a mysterious elf. This elf was King Leomaris and began offering the group a way to better their lives and told them that they were at the top of the tower. They notice as they get up from the chairs they feel extremely happy and free, up until they sit back down into the chairs. Eventually the group upsets the King, causing him to reveal that this was a projection and open up a red portal to unknown destination. After agreeing to leaving Joaquim to listen to the King's stories, he creates a portal to the next floor. Trandon then plans to teleport Joaquim secretly via Mark of Summoning, however it fails. However the King turns to ash for an unknown reason, and the two flee to the next floor.

On Floor 8, they find a room covered in green pipes coating the entire room. However, Joaquim appears to be very different, with now much older with heavy wrinkles and white hair. This causes the group to notice that they all appear older due to the effects of the last floor. Joaquim, suffering from the effects more so than the others, passes out in the middle of the floor. They then decide that maybe putting Joaquim down a pipe will fix him, however this does not prove to be fruitful yet, and the continue to solve the puzzle to the next room. After investigating the pipes, they find that there is nothing that is different. Eventually they hear Joaquim, now back to his senses, screaming up through the pipes, appearing in the sixth floor which was reset. The group then discusses on how to get Joaquim back to the current floor, but after several minutes of conversation, they decided to use Rhed's Pot Puppies as way points for Joaquim, by dropping parts of the deceased puppies. However, they find out that all of the pipes are connected, save for the one pipe Joaquim fell down, which had an alternative color. After a heavy argument between Rhed and Trandon, Rhed decided to jump down pipe, which caused him to be multiplied into three versions of himself. Eventually Yokeem gets teleported back to Floor 8, convinces the group to go back down the pipe to floor six. Now back down, they have to solve the floor and save three new Pot Puppies. After solving that floor again, then ascend to the seventh floor, they quickly solve it, and go to the next floor again, to Floor Eight. They then pull a hail mary and tap their shoes, going UP a floor this time.

Now on floor 9, they are met with a chest board and are talk to by the Great Pupper Douglas Oggo, or Pot Pupper Doggo for short. Doggo then explains that he designed his floor as a chest game using pot puppies as pieces. The group survives the fight with eight Pot Puppies left, having completely defeated the Great Pupper Doggo, and enter the portal to the tenth floor.

The tenth floor, a floor filled with a multicolored tiled floor and the wizard Coober. There Coober reveals that he is lost in the tower, and asks to join the group. The guys agree, and Coober says he has a quiz for them, to which Buford very much signs the group up. At the end of the quiz, Trandon had 1 points, Buford had 1 points, and Rhed had 3 points. This gave Rhed the first place price of a Legendary item, Trandon rolled for second place and a new Tambok Ticket, and Buford with third place. After Coober asked for a battle, Buford initiated Charm to by pass Coober and ascended to the Eleventh Floor.

===Fate===
On the Eleventh Floor, there is a rest area. This is where the group decided to rest after a deceptively long time.

==Trivia==
* ''Buford'' comes form the French word ''bouffard'', meaning "puffing and blowing" ''Flannigan'' is an Irish surname that comes from ''O'Flannagain'', meaning "Son of Flann," or rather "Son of Reddish/Ruddy".
**The etymology may not play into Buford's character, but it could be a reference to his role as a bard. The Flannigan surname, however, was created by Coe and Justin during one of Coe's StreamADay for their in game names on Steam.
